Le bistrot du lac sur Sevrier

This was our first time here, and while we initially thought it was great, as the evening progressed, we could see through the windows that the atmosphere around the owner was tense... but oh well, these things happen... After a very pleasant meal, we asked a lovely waitress about the must-see attractions in the area. She took five minutes to answer us with genuine passion for her region and offered to write down the key places for us (so we wouldn't forget). I thought her thoughtfulness was wonderful, and then I turned around and saw her getting a dressing-down from her boss, who spent her time vaping and drinking from a bottle behind the bar and wasn't exactly professional... except for saying thank you when we paid the bill. As for all the servers, I'm really disappointed to see that there are still owners like that... good luck to you (I have 25 years of experience in the restaurant industry, so I know).

The setting is beautiful and well-maintained, but the overall experience fell short of our expectations. The service was rushed and the welcome rather cold, with no real attention paid to the customers. As for the food, it was adequate, but nothing special, and certainly not up to the standard one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber.

A wonderful discovery by the lake. The view is simply stunning, the service impeccable, and the food delicious. The dishes and menus are a bit pricey, but the overall quality (food, service, and location) makes it worth the trip.

Discovered by chance, this is an excellent bistro-style restaurant that could easily be called a gastronomic bistro. I had a truly wonderful meal there. Upon arrival, it was almost full, but the young woman at the reception graciously found me a table with a beautiful view of the lake. I started with a truly exceptional piece of foie gras, served with fleur de sel, jam, and brioche bread. This was followed by a perfectly fried perch fillet, in an extra-large portion, with gribiche sauce and small fries. And no dessert, although everything looked tempting; I was completely satisfied. Having dined at another "gastronomic" restaurant not long before and been very disappointed, here the slice of foie gras was generous in size and delicious. Therefore, I highly recommend this Bistrot du Lac for its warm welcome, the friendliness of its very attentive servers, and the pleasant, quiet atmosphere without excessive noise. A delightful and successful evening. My only regret is that my wife wasn't with me. Considered booking for greater security. Thank you to the entire team of this restaurant. We had a wonderful time at Lake Annecy. A lovely family lunch. The perch fillets were delicious. The young staff who served us were professional and friendly.
