Beautiful setting by the water and a warm atmosphere. The food is delicious; I had the chicken fillet with mushroom cream sauce and a Dame Blanche (vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce).

A very good experience at Bistrot du Port in Sévrier. The food is of high quality, the service is quick, and the staff is particularly pleasant. The lakeside setting offers a beautifully peaceful view. Special mention for their honesty: when we made our reservation by phone, they took the time to inform us that we wouldn't have a view of the fireworks, a very appreciated touch of transparency. Regarding the tip request on the card reader at the time of payment (often mentioned in other reviews), it's true that it can seem a bit prescriptive, especially in France where service is already included. That being said, you simply select "no" if you don't wish to leave one, and everyone is free to tip as they please without it spoiling the experience. A place to recommend!

As frequent restaurant-goers, we tried Le Bistrot du Port this August evening, and the experience was decidedly mixed. As for drinks, the cocktails were excellent; the Piña Colada and the Mojito Royal were very well made. Yes, it's silly, but many restaurants don't have a firm grasp on their drinks. The foie gras appetizer was quite good, although a slice of toasted brioche would have been a welcome addition for a touch of indulgence. Things started to go downhill with the two-course pierrade: the beef and chicken were decent, as were the fries and salad, but the duck was really lacking in tenderness—not great. At €38 per person, the price is clearly excessive compared to the quality of the food. The Côtes-du-Rhône by the carafe was also very average, especially since you can easily find better wine for the same price. As for the service, the waiter was very attentive at the beginning of the evening, but the end dragged on unnecessarily. The wait became so tedious that we reluctantly decided to forgo dessert, even though the restaurant was far from full. In short, the lakeside setting remains ideal, but the final bill is far too high for what is served, and the service becomes inconsistent towards the end.

We go to this restaurant every year for the fish hot stone grill. Always a success and an excellent welcome.
