Le bistrot gourmand sur Angouleme

Quantity and quality, excellent gourmet platter, the only downside is that it's cold in the restaurant

We discovered this bistro about a year ago and we've never been disappointed... the dishes are very good and varied, the welcome is warm... and the prices are quite reasonable.... not everyone has to agree with my opinion, but those who complain should look elsewhere if they can find something better because frankly, for the prices, it's really good. Keep up the good work!

The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. A pleasant place to be! It's basic, classic fare, but always good and at an affordable price.

My sweetheart and I went there for lunch today, and as usual, we had a wonderful meal. Having been a regular for many years, I was once again pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes, especially the wild boar stew and the desserts (see photos). We'll be back in 2026 with the same enthusiasm! The staff were kind, attentive, and friendly. I highly recommend it!

We regularly return to this establishment when we're shopping nearby. We're always pleased with the food, the portion sizes, the service, and the overall experience. Today's special was Alsatian-themed. The sauerkraut was very good, but there were other options available.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to our vacation. The quality of the food was excellent, and the service was impeccable and friendly. An aperitif, a (large) main course, and coffee for two for forty euros was excellent value for money.
