Le Bouchon Gourmand sur Chantilly

Our visit to the restaurant was marred by a minor mishap. The setting and atmosphere are very pleasant. The waiter was generally friendly. I ordered a Honey Mustard burger, which was excellent! It had homemade brioche buns, a nice thick patty, and a superb sauce. The wine list is truly comprehensive. There's a small display of bottles in the window. For my mother, who has a restricted diet due to health issues, I ordered a Caesar salad without dressing, as she can't have pepper, among other things. The only slight drawback was the salad, which was unfortunately burnt/rotten. It couldn't have been the dressing since there wasn't any. That's why I'd like to make a small comment to the manager: it wasn't freshly washed salad, but bagged salad. It was most likely opened that same day, but that doesn't change the fact that this type of salad browns and rots extremely quickly, even without opening the package and sometimes even before you buy it. A real, fresh, washed salad seems much better. Overall, the experience was very good; everything was homemade, from the burger to the breaded chicken in the salad—very, very good. Oh! And by the way, the little coconut cocktail was delicious.

We had the Chateau de Chantilly booked for the afternoon and grabbed lunch first at Le Bouchon Gourmand with our French friends, because the storefront was pretty and the menu looked good. Best call we made all week. The welcome was warm from the second we walked in. Julian, the manager, could not have been nicer, and he walked us out back to a courtyard you'd never guess was there, with a huge iron horse standing in the middle of it. The whole place is done up around horses, which makes sense in a horse town like this, but they've done it beautifully. Sunny day, plenty of people out there and a really good atmosphere, busy without ever being loud. Our server Linay looked after us from start to finish and she was a delight, all smiles, attentive without hovering, and nothing we had to ask for twice. Then the food. I had the hanger steak, medium rare and perfectly cooked with homemade mashed potatoes I'm still thinking about. My wife had sea bass and cleaned her plate. Everything was fresh, everything was seasoned right, and the meat was juicy. We both finished with the apple tart, which came out looking like a picture and tasted even better. Our French friends were just as happy and they're a lot more used to this than we are. We never got to thank the chef in person, so thank you here for exceptional cooking. Two things before I go. One small gripe, a few of the wines we picked weren't available that day. And save room for dessert, the portions are no joke.

An excellent restaurant that my girlfriend and I discovered after a wonderful day in Chantilly 😁. A lovely place, extremely kind and welcoming staff, delicious and refined dishes at an affordable price considering the quality of the ingredients and the generous portions 🫶. I highly recommend this place if you're visiting the Château de Chantilly, for example 🤩

Relaxing atmosphere, airy terrace, plenty of space. You can chat quietly, not too noisy. Friendly service. Very fine cuisine.

What a pleasure to have discovered this establishment during our weekend in Chantilly! My wife and I received a very warm welcome, even though we hadn't made a reservation. The cuisine is refined, indulgent, and subtle. The service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is friendly and traditional. Thanks to the attentiveness of the owner and staff, the clientele is worthy of the place, and undesirable types have no place here. A truly valuable address to remember! 🇫🇷🧑‍🍳🪴

We came two years ago, and what a disappointment this second time! The presentation of the dishes was lacking. You order a goat cheese salad and end up with a Caesar salad, and the dessert menu is unappealing. The servers' attire was simplistic in a setting like this... In short, very disappointed. Perhaps we just happened to get a change in staff!

We went with a large group and had a great time. Food was good. Atmosphere was great.

We came for dinner this evening with our little girl and had a wonderful time. The food is very good, the dishes are delicious, and the staff and managers are truly welcoming and attentive. We recommend this establishment without hesitation!

From start to finish, everything was impeccable. The welcome from two charming hostesses, excellent menu advice, kindness, and reasonable price for our 10th wedding anniversary.
