Le Bouzou sur Montpellier

👍 We've known this restaurant for 25 years. Going to Bouzou is always a pleasant change of scenery, both for the food and the atmosphere. 😃

This is my third time returning to Le Bouzou in almost 20 years. And each time it's a truly memorable experience. From the owner (who's been there for 44 years!) to the servers, everyone is kind and efficient. The only slight drawback is the buffet, which has shrunk considerably over the years, but the quality remains excellent. Everything is cooked on-site, from appetizers to desserts. I did notice the addition of insects, which adds an extra touch of the unusual. The warm island atmosphere is still very much present, even more so with Tahitian dancers performing that day. The much-anticipated and unique ritual ("little cry" + "antidote") is still there, much to our delight. Even the restrooms contribute to this extraordinary experience! I'm so glad I was able to introduce this restaurant to our children, who thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Thank you to Le Bouzou for maintaining its authentic and family-friendly spirit throughout all these years.

This place is exceptional. From the welcome and service to the atmosphere and the food, everything was perfect. We definitely don't regret our evening. You can go without hesitation.

Absolutely fantastic! The owner is wonderful, attentive, and takes great care of his guests. The food is excellent, with a wide selection to suit all tastes. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I discovered this restaurant while looking for a unique place with a warm atmosphere. The all-you-can-eat buffet is generous, varied, and bursting with flavors from Réunion Island, Madagascar, Africa, and beyond. Each dish was a new discovery. The welcome was exceptional: the owner was warm and attentive, and we even offered a complimentary digestif. We had a perfect romantic evening. We highly recommend this restaurant.
