Le Brasero sur Martigues

This restaurant is a Martigues institution. The owners have been running it for 40 years, and we're regulars. It's always excellent, whether it's the pizzas, the meats, or the prepared dishes. The owner is in the kitchen, and his wife manages the dining room. We enjoyed a duck leg, a tartiflette, and tripe. We also ordered half a liter of wine, three delicious desserts, and three coffees. The portions are generous and offer good value for money compared to other restaurants of lesser culinary quality. Reservations are essential, as only the downstairs dining room is open, and it can fill up quickly depending on the time of year. Highly recommended.

Lovely quirky restaurant, interesting ancient farm equipment etc around the walls, and an old curved-tiled roof over the bar and wood-burning oven where delicious-looking pizzas are cooked. I had an enormous beautifully cooked duck breast with smoked duck slices and a slab of foie gras, with salad and a pot of gorgeous potatoes. My dining companion had cigaline, which I had never heard of but will certainly look out for in future; it's a beautiful tender cut of pork, absolutely delicious. I think they have some tables outside.

A small, cozy, and intimate restaurant, which is very pleasant. The portions are generous, and the wood-fired meat is a real treat. A special mention for the dessert with homemade whipped cream—light and creamy. I highly recommend it. We had a wonderful evening. Thank you.

Very good experience, the meat platter was very good, the meat was cooked to perfection, the side dishes were very good, my wife had a duck breast which was also very good, the meat was cooked to perfection, I recommend this restaurant, go there.

We had a lovely time as a family. The beef, cooked over a wood fire, with its potato gratin was a real treat. I highly recommend it!
