15/05/2026: We came for lunch yesterday at this establishment, which we usually enjoy as local Antibes customers. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing.
From the start, taking our order was particularly slow: nearly 30 minutes just to get our aperitifs. The waitress explained that there was a group of 30 people inside. We can certainly understand that service can be busier at some lunchtimes, and it wouldn't have bothered us much since we were there to enjoy ourselves.
However, several other things made the experience regrettable. I ordered a dish that was supposed to come with fries. They were missing, and when I pointed this out to the waiter, he told me that the dish wasn't served with fries. So I trusted him, thinking I had misread the menu. As it turned out, it was indeed an oversight.
When the salad was served, some of it fell onto my skirt because the plate was served at an angle. This can happen, of course, but we were very surprised by the complete lack of any spontaneous apology. I even had to ask the waiter to apologize, which we found particularly regrettable.
We also regret that no compensation was offered despite all these inconveniences: the missing item in the dish, the miscommunication, and the incident during service. A simple symbolic gesture, such as offering complimentary coffee, would have been appreciated and would have shown genuine consideration for the customers.
It's all the more disappointing because the food was good. The cuisine is absolutely not the issue here. However, the service has clearly deteriorated and is no longer up to the standard of the establishment we previously knew.
We hope the owner will take note of this message, as we are sincerely disappointed with this experience.
