Le Buerehiesel sur Strasbourg

This is truly an excellent restaurant with impeccable service. Bravo to the entire team and a huge thank you to the chef! 😋 We had the tasting menu, which definitely deserves a Michelin star!!! And thank you again for welcoming us with our little dog, Oliver! 🐾😉🐾

The setting, the service, the food. Everything was perfect.

We had the special lunch menu €55 which is advertised as a 3 course menu and very good value as you receive 7 plates in total. Feedback. The butter could be better tbh and l didn’t think the rouille was the correct accompaniment for the fennel with the fish. Apart from that everything else was very good. The outstanding dish of the meal was the pate en croute. We got lucky and did a late walk in and some begging to receive a table. You usually need to book. Service was very good and not pretentious at all however some of the fellow diners were very stuck up sadly! Dog friendly.

A very beautiful place for an exceptional meal, but the tangy flavors recur too frequently throughout, sometimes overpowering the main course. It's a shame to crumble the crab and hide it under quinoa seeds. It's also a shame to emulsify the foie gras and conceal it under a sugary jelly. The shagreen is very subtle but perhaps lacks originality. On the other hand, the wild duck was superb! As for the dessert, it was a bit too simplistic; the soufflé was far too large, and the frozen portion was dominated by the flavor of the ice cream, which, while excellent, overpowered its two other components. Finally, the dishwasher unfortunately damaged the glasses, leaving small streaks that reflect in the sunlight. Fortunately, the drinks they served were excellent (although, in my opinion, they should stop serving Alsatian red wine; even though it's excellent, it struggles to compare with more renowned reds). I'm being critical, and this is just my opinion, but the price paid demands perfection, and it wasn't there. We left satisfied, but not sure we'd return, unless...

The company Christmas meal was perfect!

It deserves to get a star back! Excellent meal, impeccable service, everyone was incredibly attentive. Special mention to the sommelier who was very friendly and, above all, offered excellent advice.

A must-see if you are in Strasbourg and the surrounding area.

Excellent lunch under a lovely glass roof. Seasonal lunch menu. Vegetarian starter followed by venison pithiviers with a blueberry jus. Friendly and attentive staff. We will be back.

Far from meeting our expectations. The myth has been shattered 😞 Stuffed animals on the napkins, incredibly disorganized service, we never saw the same person twice. The foie gras wasn't seasoned enough, the desserts were imperfect… Special mention, however, for the frog legs and the coffee accompaniments. In conclusion: very expensive for what we got. Are we being charged for the restaurant's history? I'm sorry, I've dreamed for years of eating at the famous Buerehiesel, and I was very disappointed 😢
