We found this place by chance. Excellent value for money. Generous portions. Expect to pay between 16 and 17 euros for a main course. I recommend it.

This small cafe next to the park serves a small menu of local and french national food. The plat de hour was finished by 13:30 and was a reasonable 14.50e. Service appeared slow at first as the two man team appeared very busy, however we ordered after 10 minutes (not slow) and the food arrived soon after (allowing for cooking time). Service was friendly, helpful and involved lots of rushing around. A good lunch

21/07/2026: Passing through Lille, we stopped by for a meal. A very good experience, friendly service, and more than decent food at a very reasonable price. Thank you.

28/07/2026: Brasserie André is not just a restaurant, it is an institution! Food is delicatelg prepared from fine raw products. Special recommendation for meat lovers; onglet de bœuf Angus. And to seal the stomch: a portion of profiteroles as dessert.
