Great address in the heart of Châtelet. We meet here every year to see friends, the service is always great and the food delicious! It’s sometimes cramped inside but it has its charm 🇫🇷 I recommend 🙌🏾

Une très belle découverte samedi soir pour y diner. Plat du jour fait maison copieux et excellent,ainsi que la tarte Tatin maison et le café gourmand, accueil sympa et simple .Un vrai restaurant parisien comme on les aime mais de plus en plus rares ! Nous y reviendrons d'autant que le rapport qualité/prix est excellent.

Great value for money, simple and nice place

An authentic French business. Creme brulee and lasagna are quite delicious. Prices are average.

As usual, we had dinner at Le Café on June 2nd and 7th, 2024. It was very nice again. We had the beef tartare, chicken curry and salmon tartare. We also enjoyed beer and wine. Le Café is highly recommended.

I ordered the ham and cheese sandwich and it was delicious, as well as the Americano coffee. Friendly and helpful people.

Looking for a late evening meal and dropped in here. What a find! An absolutely charming and authentic cafe/restaurant with a simple but really well prepared menu. We had the cheese burger, the quiche and the steak haché. All were excellent, but special mention goes to the quiche which was even better than my own(!). The tarte tatin was amazing. Good wines, and very reasonably priced. The ceiling artwork towards the back of the restaurant is quite risqué so if you have younger children and are worried about such things, sit near the front or outside. Be aware that the steak preparation instructions are as usual in France rather rarer than in the anglozone, so if you want an English or US medium rare, request well done. (I am comfortable ordering blue in the UK, asked for rare, and got what I wanted.)
