Le Cafe de France sur Grimaud

Lovely setting with a beautiful view across the terrace. We booked on line but the restaurant was not at all full when we got there so we had a choice of table at the front of the terrace. The waiter was excellent and could not do enough for us; his English was so good we guessed (wrongly) he was Australian! We were a party of 6 adults. However, the food really varied in quality and enjoyment. Those who had sea bass or steak were very happy with theirs (although the sweet potato puree with the fish was cold). However, we were told after we had looked at the menu and chosen that there was no chicken so a quick change to croque monsieur truffe proved an unwise one as this was basically an untoasted ham and emmental sandwich soaked in cold truffle dressing and the chips were overcooked. For desserts the tiramisu was ok as was the brownie coup, whereas the salad de fruits was a few bits of fruit floating in a lot of water. The menu is not extensive so to have one choice unavailable and two desserts that are almost the same (brownie or brownie with ice cream and cream) was limiting. We would not return.

There were very few options for vegetarians. Of the four-page menu, three pages were for drinks and one for food. There were two vegetarian dishes; the rest consisted only of meat, fish, snails, mussels, or octopus.

A very pleasant restaurant, very well located, and with attentive staff. I highly recommend it.

A very nice restaurant in what felt like the center of Grimaud. Very cozy. The waiter was very attentive. There were two of us, and we were very happy with our choices. My companion thought the appetizer and main course were very good; I would have liked a bit more seasoning/flavor in the appetizer (cured salmon) and the side dish with tuna (mashed potatoes). We shared dessert; the chocolate brownie with cream and caramel was very good. We each had a cocktail afterward. Great atmosphere, a very pleasant evening. We were very satisfied.

A fantastic restaurant! Highly recommended; we stumbled upon it while strolling through the charming village of Grimaud. Very friendly staff, great selection of food and drinks. We sat on the terrace and enjoyed a wonderful view!

We had a very good meal. I recommend it. The wait for our food was a little long, but it was worth it.

We had a wonderful family meal at Café de France. The terrace is lovely. The stuffed mussels were excellent, as was the sea bass, which was perfectly prepared and delicious. The portions were generous, and the meal was hearty from start to finish. The service was friendly and the atmosphere convivial; a great place to eat in Grimaud.

I absolutely loved this restaurant! From the moment I arrived, the welcome was warm and the atmosphere very pleasant. The setting is elegant, perfect for a lovely time, whether as a couple, with friends, or with family. As for the food, it's flawless: the dishes are delicious, beautifully presented, and prepared with high-quality ingredients. You can really taste the care that goes into every detail. The service is also impeccable, with an attentive, friendly, and professional team. A truly wonderful experience from beginning to end. I highly recommend it and I will definitely be back!
