Breathtaking views of the port and the city. Excellent service and a warm welcome. Unbeatable value for money. Refined and delicious cuisine. A wonderful discovery that we return to very regularly.

A very beautiful place with a view of the port and the towers. Impeccable welcome and service by smiling and attentive waitresses, the dishes are good, generous and beautifully presented with separate garnishes.

You'll be hard-pressed to find a better view of the port and the city of La Rochelle. With the "jungle" behind you. And the aquarium below! All while enjoying a delicious, beautifully presented meal at a reasonable price... I'm trying to find a fault, but honestly, I'm still looking. And I promise, I'm not friends with the manager. Go and see for yourself!

It's become a must-visit for anyone coming to La Rochelle, as restaurants that are both child-friendly and offer good food are rare. The setting is magnificent, with a view overlooking the port, the staff is welcoming, the service is quick, and the food is excellent.

Discovering the aquarium and the restaurant. The pros: - The generous and separate side dishes - The menu items - The lounge areas at the entrance and behind the bar - The baby changing area, which isn't in the women's restroom, and whose changing mat is on a firm surface (a huge plus for a wriggling child!) - The high chair, as well as the offer to warm up food (even though I didn't need it) - The view The cons (which wasn't a surprise, since we mentioned it during our meal): Only soft drinks or cocktails are entitled to appetizers, but not a glass of wine or beer. The absurdity of this meant that, on that day (a Monday during school holidays, near La Rochelle), the appetizers were served to two children at the table next to us (the youngest of whom wouldn't have been entitled to them, according to any parent strictly following the recommendations for introducing solids...). I did not appreciate that the "fault" (of the lack of service, then of the lack of information) was placed on "the colleague who is starting today".

A very enjoyable experience with my son. The setting was lovely, with a view of the port and the towers of La Rochelle. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. The service was quick. The food was also very good, with beautiful presentation. We would definitely go back.

Located right on the edge of the fishing port of La Rochelle Chef de Baie, the food couldn't be fresher and the staff incredibly welcoming. Whatever the season, it's always a special occasion to spend an evening in this extraordinary restaurant!

19/03/2026: A very pretty place, with a large, unique space themed around the sea. We came twice, mainly for its warm and cozy interior. The decor is impeccable: I would gladly give it 5 stars for the ambiance and setting. However, I can't say the same for the food. For starters, the razor clams were overcooked. The gravlax salmon was far too salty. As for the octopus, it wasn't presented at all: cut into pieces, hidden under potatoes, and, most importantly, severely overcooked, which made it rubbery. We ordered two plates, and unfortunately, both were barely edible, and excessively salty to boot. On the plus side: the seafood is fresh, the whelks are very tender, and the soup is good. However, one small but practical detail—there weren't any suitable picks for eating the whelks. Only small, thin picks, usually used for periwinkles, which isn't very practical. Considering the prices, the cuisine deserves to be more refined and sophisticated. The desserts are classic and good, nothing particularly noteworthy. In summary: ⭐ 5 stars for the setting and ambiance ⭐ 3 stars for the food and service If you're looking for a unique and pleasant place, you'll be charmed. However, the food could definitely be improved in some dishes.
