It was wonderful! We enjoyed fresh and delicious seafood. I especially recommend the oysters: they were plump and had just the right amount of saltiness. The desserts were also exceptional.

A nice little spot to enjoy a platter of seafood and local produce, away from the crowds in a pretty square in the St Nicolas district.

The welcome was rather condescending and the service quite unpleasant: a shame, as the seafood was fresh. However, no finger bowls are provided if you order individual pieces of seafood (crabs, shrimp, etc.) rather than a platter. The "Charentais grilled meat" (on the menu: pressed confit pork) resembled a bland and uninteresting rillettes. Conversely, the cheese platter, supplied by Fred, a cheese affineur from Epicurium La Rochelle, was impeccable. In short, a far from memorable experience. There are plenty of other places to enjoy fresh seafood in a pleasant setting with friendly service. Simplicity has nothing to do with deliberate laxity. It should be noted, however, that the service is much more attentive when dealing with foreign customers who don't mind spending money, with a seafood platter per person, a bottle of wine rather than a glass, etc. We will not be returning and do not recommend it.

For my second visit (unfortunately too long after my first, by three years), it was still excellent: the welcome, the staff, the seafood, the service—I loved it and highly recommend it! Even the owner deserves his star! Looking forward to returning.

Very good restaurant. Friendly service. My only slight disappointment was the langoustines. Their texture made me think they had been defrosted rather than fresh. That was the only thing that left me wanting more. Despite that, we enjoyed our meal and I recommend the restaurant.
