Super fresh...oysters, whelks, etc. To be enjoyed without moderation. It is better to book if you want a table (out of season).

Superb welcome, whether on the phone for the reservation or on site when we arrived. We enjoyed a seafood platter worthy of the name....everything was extra fresh and well cooked. Very good little Charentais white to accompany it....We had a very good, warm time, plus on the first day spring welcomed us with a lovely ray of sunshine....Frankly, to recommend without moderation

A seafood treat in a small, authentic restaurant on a human scale on an intimate square a stone's throw from the port. The few complementary earthly products are also very good, and the wine and digestives too! The best remains the atmosphere: good humor, laughter, sharing and personalized service at the meeting :) thank you team, see you next time and I'll be waiting for you for a surf lesson in Carcans! Anthony

05/04/2024: The hotel has been very well renovated, it is very nice, pretty and stylish. The fact of going to get water from the fountain and no longer distributing bottles is understandable in view of the climate issues, however there is no longer a bar and that was sometimes appreciable. Parking is always very practical, however, as a hotel guest I still find it a little excessive. In any case, hotel very well located, 2 steps from the aquarium. The breakfast buffet is varied and very good. I recommend. Welcoming staff.
01/04/2024: The hotel has recently been extensively renovated. It's a very nice renovation. The hotel is perfectly located: right next to the aquarium and the maritime museum and a 5-minute walk from the old port and old La Rochelle. The rooms are clean and pleasant (beautiful decor with the renovation). The bedding is impeccable. The breakfast buffet is very complete and of very good quality. A special mention for all the staff (reception, breakfast, cleaning staff) who are extremely courteous, always attentive to customer needs, always smiling, always available. In short, a very good 3-day stay in a Mercure of very, very good quality in all areas.

Tonton Louis

04/04/2024: Regulars of the place but absent for a long time we rediscovered Tonton Louis. Rejuvenation of the room and the buffet... The welcome is perfect. For the buffet everything is fresh.....but a little too cold. Slightly overcooked langoustines and spider crabs should be drained Otherwise everything is fine, restaurant recommended. We will come back to this.
