Mercure Oceanide sur La Rochelle

Negative: A small refrigerator is missing from the room, and the bathroom door needs improvement in terms of privacy (you can hear everything). Positive: The staff is lovely, especially Benjamin, who is fantastic. The breakfast is incredible. The hotel's location is perfect. The pool is a huge bonus. We will be back very soon.

A very nice hotel in an ideal location, with pleasant staff, excellent amenities, and a quiet setting away from the main city streets. We spent the Pentecost weekend there and the stay was very pleasant. The breakfast was very generous. We're deducting one star, however, for two reasons: - The orange juice wasn't fresh, and the pancakes, waffles, and crepes weren't homemade, which is a real shame for a hotel of this standard and with a restaurant. - The parking is not free, which is also a shame compared to others like the Novotel, which offers free parking. Otherwise, it would be perfect. The Nuxe products are a real bonus. The Privilege room includes bathrobes and complimentary minibar drinks, and Nespresso coffee with refills upon request. The poolside terrace is beautifully furnished and very pleasant. The pool area is perhaps a little small, but very nice nonetheless. We didn't try the restaurant. We'll be back, hoping for homemade products 😊

A pleasant, renovated, and well-located hotel. Excellent welcome from a young, friendly, and dynamic team, from reception to the bar and breakfast service. Special mention to Alexis, the bartender/mixologist, who prepares all his excellent drinks with passion.

I highly recommend this hotel for a perfect vacation experience in La Rochelle. The entire property is beautifully decorated, and the rooms come with lovely balconies that make you truly feel on holiday. The loyalty member recognition is exceptional. Upon arrival, I received a delicious Canelé as a welcome gift. For the welcome drink, they offered a high-quality, local organic pineapple juice accompanied by complimentary snacks—a very thoughtful touch! Most importantly for those doing a road trip: they provide secure, covered parking. It is a huge relief to know your vehicle is safely parked under a roof. Another huge plus is that the air conditioning works perfectly—a crucial detail for summer stays! The only minor detail to note is that the rooms do not have a mini-fridge, but this did not detract from an otherwise fantastic stay. I am extremely happy with my experience and will definitely return! I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for a perfect vacation in La Rochelle. The treatment of loyalty members was wonderful; we received a lovely canelé gift upon arrival. We were also impressed by the thoughtful touches, such as the welcome drink of high-quality, locally sourced organic pineapple juice and complimentary snacks. And, most importantly for those traveling by car: there's a covered, safe parking area! It's incredibly reassuring to be able to park your precious car under cover. Furthermore, the excellent air conditioning is a huge plus for summer stays! The only drawback is the lack of a mini-refrigerator in the rooms, but aside from that, it was a truly wonderful stay. I'm extremely satisfied and would definitely like to stay again!

Located opposite the Gabut, the room was spacious and comfortable with a large shower and a balcony overlooking the pool. The pool was very clean and the service very professional. Thank you to the bartender for the Piña Coladas served on the pool lounger. The hotel was very well maintained, clean, and the decor was impeccable.

Very well located near the train station and the city center. The best thing about this hotel is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The only downside is the room doors slamming shut (they're not properly adjusted).

A typical Mercure hotel, though with nicer and slightly more spacious rooms than the standard Mercure. Ample and easily accessible parking. Located minutes from the shopping and restaurant area. Discreet staff, nothing more.

We spent a weekend at the hotel as a group of over 100 people. The sales team meticulously prepared the weekend, and I thank them for that! Thanks to Carole's professionalism, we had thoroughly reviewed everything we wanted to see and prepare beforehand. Once we arrived, the location was superb, overlooking the fishing port. The staff was very pleasant, attentive, and caring, starting with the reception staff. The entire team, led by Clarisse, delighted us. Thank you also to Louise for her professionalism at check-out. The restaurant was a feast for the senses! The dishes were creative and, above all, excellent! The staff was very attentive. With a group, it's not always easy with special diets, but here it was handled with great care and discretion. So, congratulations to the entire restaurant team, especially Marion and Karim! And as for the bar... Alexis was simply wonderful! He's at the bar, sharing his passion for cocktails, all made with quality, homemade ingredients, but above all, with a lot of love. And finally, a huge thank you to the entire housekeeping team, who were smiling, pleasant, and professional. These unsung heroes are the foundation of our comfort. Our room is our little haven of peace, and they prepared it with care. A massive thank you to the whole team! We were there for our association's 40th anniversary and all had a fantastic weekend, thanks in part to you all!
