I went to the Mercure yesterday while passing through La Rochelle and received an exceptionally warm welcome from the receptionist, Louise, if I remember correctly from our conversation. A friendly, gracious, and pleasant welcome, and impeccable service. All of this will definitely make me return. Thank you to this young lady for her professionalism.

A one-night stay, too short to enjoy everything, but I felt so comfortable that on a subsequent trip to La Rochelle, I returned to work for half a day. The hotel's location is really convenient for walking to the city center, as well as to the train station. The decor and spaces are comfortable and welcoming, perfect for both relaxing and working. Special mention for the rooftop pool. Spacious and comfortable rooms (including the bedding). And the staff are smiling, helpful, and friendly. Great, I recommend it! Well done to everyone!

The Mercure La Rochelle Vieux-Port Hotel boasts a truly ideal location: just steps from the city center and easily accessible on foot from the train station, which is a real plus. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and well-maintained. We also had excellent communication with the hotel staff, both during our stay and beforehand, with prompt, efficient, and professional email exchanges. However, a major drawback is the hotel restaurant. The food is subpar, the atmosphere is uninspiring, and the staff seems overwhelmed and disorganized. This clearly contrasts with the overall quality of the establishment. In short, a very good hotel for its location, rooms, and service, but it's best to choose from the many restaurants nearby for meals.

Very disappointed with this hotel, despite its recent opening. The bathroom was poorly designed with a very slippery shower (I fell and sprained my knee), I found unfinished prepared meals in a cupboard, and the room was small considering the hotel's standard. The hotel is very well located, with easily accessible parking and welcoming staff. This is the second review I'm leaving because the first one was deleted!

The hotel is very well located near the aquarium, the Port des Minimes, not far from the Old Port, and with the "Old Port" car park right next door. You can do everything on foot. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast room is fantastic with its view.
