Le Cambusier sur Saint-Malo

A very warm welcome and attentive, simple, and pleasant service. The food is high quality and well-prepared. We were with two young children, and the staff were patient and attentive. We highly recommend it!

Appetizer: Foie gras with Sauternes and citrus chutney Main course: Pan-seared veal rump with creamy pumpkin, chestnuts, sherry gravy, and San Malo sauce Dessert: Lemon tart with olive oil and vanilla emulsified sauce This was my first time trying foie gras. I didn't like it, but my husband thought it was rich, creamy, and smooth. I quite liked the seasoning and texture of the veal rump. The red wine was delicious, and you could also order hot tea. The fruit juice and dessert were a bit too sweet and cloying overall.

We had a wonderful time. The food was excellent, as was the service.

I chose Le Cambusier for a low-key lunch to celebrate my partner's 50th. The food and service were outstanding - and the house wine was lovely too. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm and welcoming. The staff went out of their way to help make it a memorable occasion by lighting a birthday candle and chorusing Happy Birthday when they brought out his meal. We chose dishes from both menu's and shared our food and every mouthful was delicious and perfect. If I lived in Saint Malo I would eat there regularly and can completely recommend this lovely little restaurant. Thank you and hope to visit again in the future x

Absolutely superb!!! The setting is beautiful, the music not intrusive, the tables well-spaced, truly pleasant. The service was impeccable, a slight mix-up with my friend who is lactose intolerant, but everything was resolved without difficulty (we were a little embarrassed). The dishes? Really delicious, beautifully presented, the artichoke cream was succulent, the mackerel was excellent, and the scallops were very good. No complaints whatsoever. As for the price? Well, it was more than reasonable. A truly superb place. I'd love to go back (but I'm heading home tomorrow).

Heading towards the exit of the walled city of Saint-Malo, we stumbled upon this true gem, still nestled within the ramparts. What a wonderful discovery! We had lunch there yesterday and chose the set menu (starter, main course, dessert): a real delight. It's such a pleasure to see that refined, sophisticated, creative, and perfectly seasoned cuisine—without being heavy or pretentious—still exists. For the starter, a mussel soup with julienned vegetables, subtly flavored with saffron and of perfect consistency. For the main course, beef cheek with crushed potatoes for some, and for others, delicate whiting served on a Parmesan risotto. And for dessert… an apple tart: pure bliss, generously buttery, with thin, perfectly caramelized apples. We will recommend this restaurant without hesitation!

A fantastic restaurant in Saint-Malo! We've been several times and are always delighted. The dishes are refined and gourmet, the desserts are superb, and we highly recommend it. The service is impeccable, and the staff are attentive and very friendly.

Very interesting lunchtime menu, sailors' menu. Cozy place, welcoming staff and very good food (starters: roast St. Marcellin cheese and mussel soup; main courses: beef cheek on mashed potatoes and whiting risotto; desserts: apple puff pastries).
