Hello, during our stopover in the village on our journey, we stopped for a meal. We were greeted by a very unfriendly young woman. I've never experienced such service, where orders are placed on the table (except for the main course) but not in front of the customers. She didn't know what the desserts were made of and was on her phone between courses in front of the customers. This isn't how you earn tips, dear lady. Even if we were just passing through, the restaurant business is one where a smile and customer service should be your priority.

On our way back from our trip, we stopped in Massiac looking for a meal. Café du Nord doesn't look like much from the outside, but I encourage you to stop in. The food is high-quality, traditional, and the portions are generous. The service is very responsive, and the staff is friendly. Don't hesitate to get off the highway and stop here for your meal or coffee break.

Every time I stop at Café du Nord, it's the same story: unfriendly waitresses. Last Sunday, its counterpart across the street was closed, which is a shame because the service is much better there.

Warm welcome, the menu was very good with a country salad as a starter, followed by duck sautéed with honey and then a fresh fruit salad.

I was just passing through Massiac. I thoroughly enjoyed this delicious meal: duck confit with sweet and sour sauce. I highly recommend this place.

Very good restaurant, I had a Salers beef burger with Cantal cream and a red fruit tiramisu dessert, it was delicious. I recommend the restaurant, it's warm, friendly and the staff are pleasant.

11/08/2026: Back from Orléans, heading home to the Var region via Millau, we wanted to eat local despite the heatwave. I searched on Google and found this restaurant in Massiac. The staff were lovely and efficient. There was a tempting menu, but it was too big for us considering the drive and the risk of falling asleep afterward, lol. We ordered aligot with sausage. The aligot was very good, and the sausage was succulent; it was delicious and a generous portion. It's a shame we don't live closer because it would be our "canteen," there are so many appetizing things on the menu. I see you're open on Mondays. We're going up on Friday and back on Monday, so we'll be there on Monday, August 17th at noon. See you soon. My mouth is already watering.
08/08/2026: Great! We stopped at the Relais by chance; the daily menu and summer dishes on offer were varied. Good value for money and excellent service from all the staff.

12/10/2025: In an absolutely stunning setting, we enjoyed lunch on the terrace, allowing us to take in the view while savoring delicious, beautifully presented dishes. The welcome and service mirrored the cuisine: discreet yet warm. A truly wonderful experience and a delightful discovery!
