Le Cardinal sur Charleville-Mezieres

We had a great time at Le Cardinal thanks to the warm welcome from the owner and the kindness and efficiency of the staff. Excellent value for money.

We discovered this restaurant at lunchtime. We had a wonderful meal; everything is homemade. However, there is no accessibility for people with reduced mobility. Firstly, the restrooms are upstairs, and the stairs are unfortunately very narrow, which is a shame for people who are unable to climb stairs. Furthermore, a family wanted to eat at the restaurant, and one of them was disabled and used a wheelchair. The family asked for a private room so they could eat comfortably in their wheelchair. However, this was refused, quite curtly. Despite the fact that we enjoyed our meal very much, this experience put us off, which is a real shame.

A lovely setting for a pleasant time. The welcome is friendly, and the staff are dynamic and attentive. It's a shame the food is disappointing: the ingredients aren't of high quality and the cooking is inaccurate (the duck breast ordered rare was overcooked and the fries were lukewarm).

The restaurant is always pleasant, the dishes are generous and beautifully presented. The staff are always attentive; I recommend it without hesitation.

We arrived at 12:30 pm, the four of us, right in the middle of the lunch rush, with only an hour for lunch. Fantastic welcome, fantastic service. The food was delicious! Honestly, you nailed it! Well done!!!
