We had a wonderful time at Cardinal des Mers in Royan. The view over the Gironde estuary is magnificent and adds a real touch of class to the meal. The ingredients are of very high quality, perfectly prepared, and the welcome is warm and professional. I highly recommend this restaurant!

In addition to the view, the food was homemade, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Our wood-fired grilled lobster flambéed with cognac was simply amazing! A truly great place.

We had a view of the Gironde estuary during our lunch. The food was delicious. The homemade terrine was unlimited and excellent. My partner had the spinach and goat cheese tart, which she thoroughly enjoyed. We savored a Saintonge-style mussel stew, a real treat. For dessert, we enjoyed a Black Forest cake and a lemon meringue tart. The portions were so generous that my partner left with a doggy bag. The entire meal was generous. The service was impeccable and very friendly.
