Le Carnotzet sur Couiza

What a shame about our second visit! We were disappointed with the daily special; it was a tartiflette with too much cheese, very salty, and the cheese was too old, not enough potatoes. And being in the restaurant business, I know what I'm talking about. Furthermore, we were given to understand that we shouldn't wait too long because the chef had finished a while ago. The starter was good and fresh, though, as was the dessert.

Savoy in the Aude Valley A superb, warm, and truly delicious restaurant. A set menu with starter, main course, and dessert is available for €15, as well as an à la carte menu. Generous portions are served with a smile. The decor is simple but perfectly suited to the setting; everything is made of wood, including the structure. You feel like you're in a Savoyard chalet. Definitely an address to remember. Terrace, free parking. The owners are very welcoming.

The food is amazing. Everything is top notch. I wish I could try everything. So far my best meal in all of France. Funny it’s in this tiny town.

A dining room with seating for about thirty. Arriving at the start of the evening service, we left two hours later to enjoy a main course and dessert. That's far too long... It's a shame because the setting is pleasant, the dishes are beautiful and delicious, the menu is great, and the value for money is excellent. The welcome was a bit cold, probably due to stress. No accompaniment to the aperitif, olives, it's not complicated... It's a shame, there must be a staff shortage in the kitchen. Seeing the waitress waiting for the red light in front of the pass was painful for her. It's a real shame, Mr. Owner. If the reason given is a lack of staff, please remedy this problem quickly... good luck...

Lovely restaurant but menu doesn’t change much. Excellent atmosphere and service - fabulous steaks and aperitif. We have been many times over the last 18 months when in Couiza house hunting.

A very nice discovery, very generous portions, excellent value for money
