It was a charming weekend A very well maintained castle, which aspires to rest.. A warm welcome A divine, refined, tasty dinner served with art. Thank you to all the staff who take great care… We will come back to dream within these walls….

We chose this castle to try something different. A real castle run by a couple of really smart "castellans" (husband and wife). original location that manages to bring the Middle Ages together with technology and comfort without distorting it. typical spiral staircase leading to the upper floors where the guest rooms are. the reception, the breakfast/lunch area and a bar/lounge well stocked with mainly local wines and spirits overlook the internal courtyard. Chosen for its proximity to Rennes Les Chateau, Carcassone and another multitude of Cathar castles. Highly recommended.

There were 5 of us staying at the Château des Ducs de Joyeuse from Friday to yesterday Sunday. Our stay was perfect. Reception, cleanliness, meals and breakfasts. We were delighted 5/5 Congratulations to the caring team THANKS

Very nice place. The calm is appreciable. The attentive staff. The restaurant very good. Small downside for the room which lacked lighting.

30/03/2024: We recommend this restaurant. The homemade dishes are delicious and plentiful. The atmosphere is very friendly. Congratulations to the whole team. From chef to waitress
18/03/2024: Great restaurant, the setting, the dishes, and the pleasant service. Nothing to report on that side. Just a little suggestion. The restaurant closes a little too early on weekend evenings, we had to leave the place a little quickly on a Friday evening because the service had ended. I would have liked to take advantage of sitting quietly until 10:30/45 p.m., having started the meal around 8 p.m. Please take this into account for next time.
