What a wonderful discovery this little restaurant nestled in the heart of Le Crotoy was! There were four of us, each ordering different dishes, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

A wonderful discovery in Le Crotoy! Le Carré Gourmand was definitely one of the highlights of our holiday in Le Crotoy and a great way to discover local cuisine. A small dining room seating about 25, a pleasant atmosphere, and efficient, relatively quick service. We thoroughly enjoyed the food: local and seasonal produce, expertly prepared and beautifully presented, with a chalkboard menu that changes according to what's available. Special mention goes to the owner, who is also the chef: very friendly and approachable. At the end of our meal, we had the pleasure of chatting with him about his cooking and the ingredients he uses. It's exactly the kind of moment that adds even more charm to a good restaurant. The €37 set menu offers excellent value for money. It's also possible to order a starter, main course, or dessert separately, which we hadn't realized at first. One small area for improvement: clearly displaying the prices on the menu would prevent any surprises, as some combinations end up costing almost as much as the full set menu. One piece of advice: be sure to book well in advance! A victim of its own success, the restaurant fills up quickly. Arriving on a Saturday, we couldn't get a table until the following Friday. During school holidays or peak season, plan ahead! In the end, a wonderful experience, quality local cuisine, a passionate and friendly chef, and a restaurant that was one of the gastronomic highlights of our stay in Le Crotoy. We will definitely be back!

Excellent seafood sauerkraut. And a good rum ice cream dessert. Prompt service. Just one small suggestion: finger bowls (given the shrimp) would be a welcome addition.

To conclude our stay in Le Crotoy, we had a wonderful time in this magical place. The three-course menu (starter, main, dessert) at €37 was absolutely excellent, featuring local produce from the Bay of Somme… with a beautifully presented menu. It was very refined without being stuffy… We will be back. Thank you again for the delicious and delightful experience.

What can I say... From appetizer to dessert, it was excellent. A simple menu guarantees fresh, local produce. Beautifully presented, the dishes enhance the entire meal.

Excellent seafood sauerkraut in this small, air-conditioned restaurant (which was very welcome on August 13th). Friendly service, but reservations are essential. We will gladly return to this restaurant, which has already been recommended by friends.
