Passing through Colmar after a boat trip on the Lauch River, we had lunch at Caveau St Pierre, a restaurant we had spotted before boarding our boat.

After a short boat trip, there's no need to go any further to receive a warm welcome and enjoy delicious, generous portions of local dishes. The staff are friendly and very professional. Don't miss it, just like their Black Forest cake 😊

Nice and characterful place. Not overwhelmingly special in terms of the food but fine.
This was the first restaurant we went to in Colmar so wanted to try some traditional Alsation food, including the Baeckoffe, Tarte Flambee and Jambonneau. All good. Not amazing, but good.
This is one of several short reviews of restaurants we (family of 4) tried in Colmar in July 2026.
They are La Galeria, Winstub Factory, Le Petit Schlossberg, Mamma Giovanna, Caveau Saint Pierre and Café Jupiler.
