Excellent restaurant! The welcome is warm, the staff are very friendly and attentive. The dishes are delicious, beautifully presented, and prepared with quality ingredients. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is quick. We had a wonderful time and will gladly return. I highly recommend this establishment!

Lunch for two on a weekday. The setting is superb with tables on the pontoon... a touch of holiday atmosphere in the warm weather. Impeccable service, impeccable cuisine (perfectly prepared steak tartare and the chicken au gratin with Maroilles cheese was excellent!). With such a warm welcome and excellent service, I highly recommend this restaurant. *****

A very friendly welcome. The waiters and waitresses had a great sense of humor and were always smiling. When I made my reservation, I wasn't aware there was a set menu. However, we were able to negotiate a few modifications. A place worth discovering.

Back at Chalet de l'Étang with my two sons, and what a pleasure! The welcome was truly top-notch, and it's so nice to see that the owner remembers his customers; it's becoming increasingly rare. The staff is incredibly friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the interior and exterior settings are simply magnificent. As for the food, no complaints whatsoever: the burger was excellent, with real fresh, well-ground meat and a very generous portion. The quality of the food, the decor, and the friendliness of the staff are well worth it. The park right next door is ideal for children.

An absolutely magical and unforgettable moment! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We celebrated our birthdays at Chalet de l'Étang and everything was perfect from beginning to end. A huge thank you to the owner, Aurélia, who was incredibly attentive to all our requests to ensure the party was a success. The meal was simply superb, the staff were top-notch, and a special mention goes to our table manager who was remarkably kind throughout the evening. The outdoor aperitif, right in front of the pond, delighted all our guests, and the disco party created an amazing atmosphere! Our guests left thrilled, and so did we. You can book with complete confidence!

We had lunch this Whit Monday, ate very well and there wasn't too much of a wait despite the crowds. The service was decent. We'll definitely go back to the floating terrace.

We booked to celebrate our anniversary this Sunday at lunchtime. We hadn't been back since the change of ownership, and I was hoping to find that warm atmosphere again, where the owner took the time to say hello, to spend a few minutes checking if everything was alright… As for the ambiance, there was a lot of music from the 1900s. I know there's something for everyone, but now everyone dances to 80s music, so it's a shame; it makes you feel old right away… waltz, tango… And be aware, there are codes for going to the restrooms.

Hello everyone, we recently visited as a couple and discovered the new owners. Having known the previous owners of this historic establishment in Le Quesnoy, we can say that, at first glance, the welcome was colder than that of the former owner, who was very friendly and welcomed each customer who entered his establishment. Then we ordered an entrecôte and/or a "sirloin steak," which was fatty like an entrecôte, so there was no difference between the two. There was a tiny, barely legible "Asterix" indicating that the price varied depending on availability... So, it's not clearly defined if you only look at the menu placed on your table! To find out the "price of the day," you have to read the daily specials board, which they conveniently fail to bring you or forget to show you, so you can check the "prices of the day" for that famous rib-eye or sirloin steak, which happened to be €25.90 that day! Hence the unpleasant surprise of being caught off guard by an unexpected bill, not included in our initial meal order! Not to mention that my steak, ordered rare, arrived medium-rare. While the dish was replaced, it didn't erase the feeling of having been ripped off by this unexplained pricing ambiguity, especially since the board wasn't there to complement the menu. As for the overall atmosphere, we could say: it could be better, considering the final bill. Have a good day, everyone. A local, not a tourist!
