Le Chalet Savoyard de L'Esplanade sur Bourgoin-Jallieu

This restaurant, which I've been going to for years, is really coming into its own. The dishes are inspired, beautiful, and above all, delicious—kudos to the chef! The service is impeccable, from the waitresses to the head waiter. The welcome is always warm and friendly. I congratulate this entire new team.

This restaurant, with its Savoyard chalet feel, is nestled in the hills above Bourgoin in a verdant setting where numerous trees offer welcome shade in summer. The parking lot is quite large. We were greeted with a smile upon arrival. The service was quick, and the many waitresses were efficient, attentive, and took great care of us throughout our meal. We had lunch on the terrace, a real pleasure given the lovely setting. The view is quite nice, and the rustic decor, true to the spirit of Savoyard chalets, adds a lot of charm to the whole place. We chose the meat/fish barbecue option: the portions were generous, featuring quality ingredients. Excellent value for money. A great place that we'll be happy to return to, especially in winter to experience the chalet atmosphere at that time of year. Thank you to the whole team.

I've eaten here a few times, but I've never left a review. But what more can I say? I was always greeted with a smile and good cheer. You quickly feel right at home. The staff is fantastic, and the food is generous and delicious. Honestly, there's nothing to complain about. And that lovely view! Masterclass!

After dining at this restaurant decades ago and being disappointed, I wanted to try it again. Regret. The setting is certainly very nice. But one dish wasn't fully cooked, and the seasoning needed improvement. The servers were too eager to take our order and clear the table. Perhaps I'll try again in several decades...?
