Le Chasseur sur Illkirch-Graffenstaden

Two rather disappointing restaurant experiences. Mistakes in the orders, missing items, expensive and uninspired salads. There are much nicer restaurants in Illkirch.

We had an excellent brunch, which I highly recommend! The servers were very friendly and professional. The buffet was very well stocked, with a wide selection to suit all tastes, both savory and sweet. It's a real shame their hard work wasn't better received, as there were very few customers. This establishment deserves to be much more widely known!

One of our favorite restaurants, we go there often and are generally always happy, but there's still one big problem: the tarte flambée! They're either excellent or barely edible because there's way too much nutmeg (among other things), the onions are still raw, the cream is too thick, etc. I don't understand how it's possible not to have a standardized recipe with exactly the same amount of spices, etc. We came for an all-you-can-eat tarte flambée evening; the first four were perfect, the last two were impossible. And it wasn't the first time, but we hadn't said anything. We were told that they open a new bucket when one is empty... but it can't be a lottery like that, so here's a tip: establish a recipe and follow it precisely!

Impeccable service, always available staff, excellent service. And the meal was perfect; I went back today for dinner! 😀

Friendly welcome, the setting is cool

My friends and I went back to Au Chasseur for dinner one evening this week. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The meal was delicious. Until next time!

Very friendly, even just for a drink. We were warmly welcomed and not rushed at all, they gave us our own space, which was very pleasant.

The tarte flambée was delicious. They just need the one flambéed with apples and Calvados.

Restaurant with excellent products and top-notch service. The bone marrow was amazing, the Simmental schnitzel was a delight—tender, perfectly cooked meat—and the snail butter was perfect. The hotel was very welcoming and very clean, with excellent service.

First of all, thank you to Lucie for her warm welcome; it already makes us want to come back. We tried all the tarte flambées and had no complaints—homemade pastry, creamy and generous portions. However, the apple and Calvados tarte flambée was conspicuously absent. That's a shame. See you soon!
