Welcoming, friendly, and welcoming staff. Extensive menu, wines at affordable prices. Excellent burgers. Sunny terrace. We can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. We were even lucky enough to see the mountain descent through the streets of Châtel. The couple with the blind dog.

Our children were growing up and we discovered this restaurant this winter during our vacation. We wanted to book in the morning for the last evening and it was full but the owner told us that exceptionally he would give us a small table at the back if that suited us. Super nice! It was perfect because we wanted their burgers and not raclette or fondue. The dishes were delicious. The waiters were very kind. Next year we will book as soon as we arrive to be sure to be able to eat there. We recommend!!!

Nice place to eat while in the village, one of few places so the competition is not particulary steong. That said food was good, service was great.

A very warm welcome for the Tour de France 🇫🇷 the restaurant received us without a reservation, it was very busy this Sunday, August 3. Very good food, very friendly staff, everything was perfect 👍 thank you

I just popped in to buy an ice cream and was greeted with such warmth! It makes all the difference ☺️ (and the ice cream was one of the best I've ever had after hiking for 5 hours in the blazing sun)

A little expensive for what it is. The other restaurants on the street are cheaper, but we're talking a few euros. We had a mountain salad and a beef tartare with 2 cokes. Even though it's Chatel, the bill is a bit steep.

A quick getaway to Châtel on August 6th, we stopped at Le Chesery for lunch and had a great time. We had two Chatellans. A good compromise between raclette and fondue 😋Very good both in terms of welcome and service. The prices are a little high, but that's Châtel 😊

10/03/2026: If you're looking for a cozy getaway in the heart of winter, the Hotel Macchi is a dream come true. The rooms retain the charming mountain style we love, and they're spotless to boot. A huge thank you to the kitchen staff for spoiling us so much, to the ski equipment manager for his invaluable advice, and to the rest of the staff—it was so pleasant to return to them after a day on the slopes, where kindness and attentiveness always awaited us. Thank you all for making our stay so enjoyable; we'll be back next year...M. Delcourt
08/03/2026: A lovely hotel with friendly staff. The shuttle service to the ski lift is incredibly luxurious and makes your stay extra comfortable. The breakfast is extensive and well-prepared. The hotel is also conveniently located. The sauna and spa are also wonderful.

11/03/2026: Four-day stay in March 2026. Ideal location for skiing, top-notch amenities, excellent breakfast, very nice pool and hammam, spotless room with superb bedding and impeccable cleanliness. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind… the other reviews are unjustified in my opinion! The only thing missing to make it perfect was evening dining. Thank you.
11/03/2026: I've been here twice for an aperitif. The first time it was delicious, poured to the brim with Prosecco and a splash of sparkling water. The second time, I got three-quarters of a glass, half of which was Aperol and water. I know because I watched the preparation process. We wanted a two-course dinner. I approached the chef to ask about soup in English, to which he replied that I should speak French... in a tourist town... we just ordered fries to eat with the Aperol, and the whole group went to another place for dinner. I don't like this kind of behavior. Even if you can't say "vegetable soup" in English, you can always refer the customer to someone else who can help, rather than expecting someone who came to France for a ski trip to have a degree in French... typical French arrogance
