A very nice restaurant in the hills above Saint-Émilion. Fast service, very pleasant and smiling staff, very reasonable and affordable menu. Well done to the whole team for your excellent organization!

On a sweltering day, we entered this restaurant. The waiters were very welcoming, and we were seated next to a large fan providing cool air. We asked for iced water, and the waiters brought us glass after glass. It was our anniversary, and the sun was shining, a cool breeze was blowing, the scenery was beautiful, and the food was delicious. We had a wonderful dining experience at this first-time visit. Actually, it was a very hot day, but the waiters' friendliness made me feel good. Thank you!

A wonderful experience at Bistrot du Clocher! The meal was excellent and plentiful. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, ideal for enjoying a meal in the heart of Saint-Émilion. The service is also impeccable: the team is smiling, welcoming, and very attentive. The service was quick. Excellent value for money in a magnificent setting. A great place that I recommend without hesitation and where I will return with great pleasure, as I have every year since 2015.

Today we received a very warm welcome from the team, especially regarding our dog. We were able to enjoy ourselves without our dog being bothered or disturbing the other customers and servers. We thank them for their thoughtfulness in bringing her a bowl of water. Furthermore, we had an excellent meal; coming from Picardy, our visit to Saint-Émilion was a success. We highly recommend them! Thank you again.

A lovely setting, simple yet high-quality cuisine—the Nordic waffle was a particular favorite. Quality ingredients. Pleasant and welcoming staff. The terrace fans kept us cool. Thank you for a delightful experience.

L'Envers du Decor

06/08/2026: Really nice restaurant with a beautiful terrace!! We came here for dinner and really enjoyed it. The cold lentil soup (suggestion of the day) was super refreshing, and the slow-cooked lamb for two was absolutely delicious - so tender and flavourful. The only small miss was the wine. We asked for a recommendation, but it didn’t match our style. No big deal though—everyone’s taste is different. Would happily come back. Highly recommend!
06/08/2026: Third time visiting L'Envers du Décor, and I have to say I think it's gone downhill a bit. The atmosphere is still the best thing about this place—exactly what you'd expect from a lively French bistro, with plenty of character and a great buzz. Unfortunately, the food really fell short this time. We had the T-bone steak and steak tartare, among other dishes, and I mention the meat because everyone who ate it ended up feeling sick later that night. It was really disappointing given how much we'd enjoyed our previous visits. The service wasn't great either. We had to wait around 10 minutes for our side dishes after our mains had already arrived, and our waitress wasn't particularly friendly or attentive. Overall, it was a disappointing experience compared to our previous visits. I hope this was just an off night, but based on this visit, I'd be hesitant to return

O trois fontaines

07/03/2026: An entrance opens onto the street, leading under a beautifully decorated wooden roof adorned with string lights. The zucchini carpaccio with octopus is a delight! A superb atmosphere with soft background music.
02/03/2026: I would have given more than five stars if possible. A fantastic find in Saint-Émilion. Friendly and welcoming staff. Delicious food. Thank you for a lovely evening.
