We love the place for the atmosphere and its location next to the market. Ordering a wine or a glass of wine with foie gras sandwiches is the most typical thing, although the bread may fail a little, but my rating is very positive.

Amazing food , service, location.. . No toilet! At all. Good menu, but with foie gras only one simple tapas … strange for such a name of the place.

I had 3 places to visit in my life: Mecca, the Sainte Sistine Chapel and the Western Wall, here is a 4th: the Comptoir du Foie Gras. In the midst of an existential crisis, I met a family here. The team is at the top. Moreover, while Macron has just announced a political truce for the Olympic Games and I know from a reliable source that it is Lucas who he will appoint as prime minister (rightly so). I called my family. It’s official, I’m moving to Biarritz. I am also looking for an agency and work (construction site OK). To the wise.

Le classique Apéro au Marché à Biarritz. Nous avons pris les toasts Foie gras et une assiette de Serrano et un verre de vin blanc en début de soirée. Service sympas et les produits sont bons. Évidemment plutôt cher pour ce que c’est mais comme partout en été. On a passé un bon moment

Le Comptoir du Foie Gras is a very popular bar by Les Halles in Biarritz. It took me a little by surprise however in that, because of its location at the end of the block, the small wedge shaped bar has no room for inside customers (nor does it have a toilet). So we sat outside, all the better to people watch and to enjoy crisp pressions and very good service.

30/08/2024: Great location for a sunset but you pay the price on the plate...
29/08/2024: Ideally located by the sea, a very beautiful view. Parking is very complicated or even impossible near the restaurant. The welcome is correct and the staff takes great care of the customers. In terms of cuisine, our choice fell on the hake and there, the surprise not in terms of quality but in terms of taste, the dish was bland and uninteresting, we did not understand the preparation of the accompaniment, the rice not cooked and no flavor, fortunately the tomato compote was there plus the cost was much too high for what it is. Perhaps it would be good for the chef to review his recipe.
