Our brains are sometimes ungrateful machines: programmed to hunt down the slightest shadow, they etch the negative into the marble of our hippocampus while letting the positive evaporate like a light mist. This infamous salience network plays this cruel trick on us: it much prefers the memory of a grain of sand in our shoe to the sweetness of a sunny day. The human tragedy is to hold onto a single annoyance while forgetting ten thousand bursts of happiness. But today, your service did far more than satisfy us: it silenced this bad habit of our brains. Despite the fatigue, the miles covered, and the constant pressure, you offered us a respite of rare humanity. Having worked in this field myself during my studies, I know exactly what inner strength it takes to keep smiling when the rush overwhelms us. It's a demanding school of life that reveals great souls, and you are undeniably one of them. Thank you for being, for the duration of a meal, the perfect antidote to our tendency towards gloom. Posts from 2025: As a big fan of Flemish carbonnade, I was very disappointed. The sauce was too strong, even sickening. I even asked the man at the next table what he thought, and he replied, "Well, not great, I've had better." We agreed. I mentioned it to the waiter, who passed the information on to the kitchen. They think they used too much gingerbread (to each their own, of course), and apparently, they threw it out to make more for the evening. And my husband's poutine had meat that was a bit dry. It wasn't our first time there, but this time we were very disappointed, and the service was very slow. We arrived before other people and were served after them. Anyway, apparently, the poutine took a long time to prepare. We ordered again this Sunday, June 7, 2026, for our daughter's 19th birthday with family (a table of 10). Everything was perfect, the only downside being, once again, the beef cheek (which resembles Flemish carbonnade) was too sweet. Chef, please taste your dishes more thoroughly before sending them out. Sorry, no photos this time; we had a phone-free meal ☺️

Very good. The waitstaff were very kind and friendly. We will definitely return. I highly recommend it.
