We went to the cinema afterwards to the Malt bar for a platter served by Pamela, a very pleasant and smiling waitress. We had a lovely evening. Pamela was very pleasant and highly recommended. Thank you, Pamela!

Fantastic experience at Comptoir du Malt in Calais! Angelo is super nice and very funny! Melissa is the same :) Smiling, pleasant, and above all, very kind! The truffle pasta was a little lacking in flavor, but still incredibly delicious (the empty plate speaks for itself) as was the andouillette (the plate speaks for itself) We'll be back! Once again, a huge thank you to Angelo and Melissa!

09/04/2026: For our UK visitors this is a Greggs but nicer, not the cleanest easting area in the world but great if you have kids and need to all eat cheaply and rest for a while before you get on a boat, which we did twice. Generally non English speaking.
14/03/2026: The lady who served us was as pleasant as ever, but I was very disappointed with the quality of your Caesar salad at lunchtime today. It was full of onions, which is unusual for a Caesar salad. But the most unpleasant thing was that my salad was a garbage dump of hard, brown bits. What happened? This is not up to your usual standard. After removing all the unpleasant bits, there was nothing left in the container.
