Lovely, friendly, and welcoming setting. Delicious little creamy soup with grilled chorizo. I've never eaten an octopus tentacle so tender inside and perfectly grilled on the outside <3. Yum! The dessert was just as good as the rest. I highly recommend it!

I arrived without a reservation and just wanted to have dinner by myself. They even set up an extra table for me! And the food was delicious!

I really enjoyed the main course (octopus). However, the dessert had too many ingredients and too many flavors.

We had a fantastic time at Le Coq et la Mule! The welcome was incredibly warm, the tapas were original and delicious, the wine was amazing, and the decor and atmosphere with its Latin and Colombian influences made the place so inviting. You absolutely have to go! Plus, they're very accommodating with dietary restrictions!

The grilled octopus is a must-try, as it's not something you find everywhere. The Latin American music sets the mood for a pleasant happy hour, but it does get noisy after a while. The service is decent, and it's best to make a reservation for the evening.

Cooked to perfection: crispy on the outside and meltingly tender on the inside. It's a place that makes you want to linger and take the time to enjoy a truly special moment. It was thanks to our daughter that we discovered this lovely little restaurant with its Colombian/Spanish atmosphere. The food was a wonderful discovery; I highly recommend the octopus, which is divine. The blend of colors and flavors takes you on a journey. We discovered several excellent restaurants during our weekend in Lyon, and Le Coq et la Mule will undoubtedly remain our favorite. We shared a burrata with zucchini cream and roasted hazelnuts: a delicate starter, perfectly seasoned, with wonderfully balanced flavors. The kind of dish you wish you could recreate at home! Then came the octopus… exceptional. We love octopus, and yet we had never eaten it prepared like this: tender inside, crispy outside, accompanied by patatas fries, aioli, chorizo ​​cream, and watercress. A truly successful marriage of flavors and a dish we will remember for a long time. Add to that two delightful managers, and you have a place we're truly happy to have discovered. If you're ever in Lyon, don't hesitate to venture a little outside the most touristy areas to eat here: it's definitely worth the detour!
