Fabulous lunch in a delightful restaurant on the Meuse near Rimbaud’s home. Wine selection is top and the lunch menu delicious, at a very acceptable price.

What a delightful surprise this restaurant in Charleville-Mézières was. Tables beautifully set and an excellent and surprising menu, beautifully presented. Accompanying it was a good bottle of wine unknown to us. It was very quiet on the evening we were there. This restaurant deserves good patronage. Hans and Marleen, Amersfoort

Bar a Vin Le Concept

17/10/2026: By far the best restaurant on Place Ducale. They've achieved the most difficult thing: maintaining their high standard of bistro cuisine and exceptionally pleasant, attentive, and friendly service. Thank you for these wonderful moments (but not like Valérie, lol).
15/10/2026: Fantastic! Excellent food in generous portions. The staff are incredibly professional and friendly, not to mention the chef who comes to greet you at your table. Pure class!

Le Cardinal

08/09/2026: We had a great time at Le Cardinal thanks to the warm welcome from the owner and the kindness and efficiency of the staff. Excellent value for money.
24/08/2026: We discovered this restaurant at lunchtime. We had a wonderful meal; everything is homemade. However, there is no accessibility for people with reduced mobility. Firstly, the restrooms are upstairs, and the stairs are unfortunately very narrow, which is a shame for people who are unable to climb stairs. Furthermore, a family wanted to eat at the restaurant, and one of them was disabled and used a wheelchair. The family asked for a private room so they could eat comfortably in their wheelchair. However, this was refused, quite curtly. Despite the fact that we enjoyed our meal very much, this experience put us off, which is a real shame.
