Le domaine du Lac sur Murol

A pleasant stay in a cottage at the Domaine du Lac campsite on the shores of Lake Chambon. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a wide range of activities available, including the campsite's swimming pool and Lake Chambon (accessible directly from the campsite), the campsite restaurant by the lake, the hiking trails all around, and the evening entertainment offered by the campsite. We were delighted and will definitely return. One minor drawback: the lack of cell service in and around the cottage made it difficult to plan hikes or check exam results. On the plus side, it allowed us to disconnect! ;)

Friendly place. The cabins coule be maintained a bit better but perfectly acceptable for the price.

We spent a week's holiday as a family of four (a couple with a child and an adult). The 4/6 person cottage was very nice, quite spacious, clean, and well-equipped. We were in a good location. The reception and maintenance staff were attentive and responsive to every need. The kids' club was great, with simple but good activities. The indoor/outdoor pool was very good. The lake beach was well-maintained. A few less positive points: - The outdoor pool was closed. - The bar/restaurant was a bit overpriced, and the staff were rather unwelcoming. - There was limited internet access in the area, and the Wi-Fi didn't work in the accommodations.

Exceptional lakeside location. A very large campsite, but if you choose your pitch carefully, you can find a quiet spot. Numerous activities. Very large swimming pool with a retractable roof. Two restaurants. Ideal for families. Many hiking and cycling trails start nearby. Altitude 875m, with a 6-degree increase in temperature compared to sea level, which is welcome during a heatwave. We rented a lodge tent, which is a good compromise, but it's not air-conditioned. Just be sure to ventilate well at night, and that's sufficient.

The campsite is very quiet despite being quite busy, and the staff are very efficient and helpful. The only downside was the weather; we arrived during a heatwave week, and the mobile homes aren't air-conditioned or equipped with fans – it was an oven in the afternoon, which must be the case even in the summer. The pool is great, but also too hot during the heatwave, so the staff had to cover it in the evening, meaning it didn't cool down at night.

Magnificent! We were delighted with the wooden cabin! We had booked one night but would have loved to stay longer! In May, the peace and quiet were perfect, with birdsong filling the air... We had the pool all to ourselves in the morning, and breakfast overlooking Lake Chambon. A little escape from the everyday that we would love to repeat! Thank you ✨️
