Le Globe sur Cognac

This is a restaurant I used to love coming to, both with my sweetheart and for lunch with colleagues. Unfortunately, for some time now, both the quantity and quality have declined significantly. I once had an exceptional roasted Camembert there, the likes of which I'd never tasted before. Today, it's not the same: less charcuterie, less variety, and fewer fries. It's a real shame, especially since the prices haven't changed. Returning to the quality and portion sizes of the past would be wonderful... and I would gladly come back.

We had a very good meal, the Angus bavette steak was excellent! The waitress was very friendly.

I had a wonderful time at Le Globe. The cuisine is simple yet refined, the presentation is impeccable, and the daily menu was excellent. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service very friendly; I highly recommend this establishment.

We came as a family this evening. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were incredibly attentive. They even gave the children drawing paper without us asking. A big thank you! I highly recommend this place.

Le Globe à Cognac isn't a bar, it's a parallel world where time stands still, glasses refill themselves, and the jokes get better with each round. The manager, Sonny? A cross between Gordon Ramsay and Buddha: he keeps his cool while saving pints and lost, enraged souls. The waiter, Maël? Faster than an Uber Eats downing shots. Ah, Maël... How do you describe Maël? A waiter? Yes, technically. A ferocious beast? Clearly. The only guy capable of forgetting your order and your name... while making you believe you're the problem. A misunderstood genius, a living legend of the "I'll be right there" phrase that lasts 20 minutes. But hey, we like the guy. And of course, Marie, the queen, majestic and unassailable, who reigns supreme as if the Globe were her kingdom. In short, at the Globe, we go in for "a quiet drink" and leave three hours later shouting "Long live Sonny! Long live Maël! Long live Queen Marie!" with a smile plastered on our face.🐝 Mathilde and Lilou :)

As always, we had a great time in this must-visit restaurant in the city. We enjoyed the welcome, the menu and the atmosphere! Thank you very much, it's always a pleasure.

Very nice during the day and even more so in the evening.

It's a shame we had to pay for two bottles instead of two glasses of wine... Intentional or a mistake...? It was a mistake... The money has been refunded to our account. Well handled...
