I recently visited Le Grand Balcon in Mazamet and wanted to leave a review to congratulate the new owners who took over at the beginning of March. Frankly, they're doing an excellent job! The welcome is warm, the service is attentive, and you can tell they genuinely want to do things right.
The food is simply excellent: well-prepared, flavorful dishes, made with care. You can taste the difference, and to be honest, it's clearly a step up from the previous owners.
It's a fantastic new venture and a place I wholeheartedly recommend. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit!

On Wednesday evening, we had the chance to discover the new menu. A new beginning for this iconic Mazamet establishment, now under the ownership of a family with strong values, for whom elevating local ingredients to the delight of our palates is a true mission... So I would say mission accomplished! The welcome, the atmosphere, and the dishes were all simply perfect. If you're looking for a place for a bistronomic experience or a premium brasserie experience... then Le Grand Balcon is the place for you. We'll be back again and again!

For New Year's Day, we were able to have lunch without a reservation. We received a very warm welcome, and the meal lived up to expectations for a public holiday at a reasonable price, including drinks. Thank you for letting us start 2026 in your pleasant company.

I've eaten there since it reopened and I'm disappointed… the dishes and appetizers on the menu look good, but unfortunately the result didn't live up to the standards of this iconic restaurant, especially considering the prices. A shame!
That said, the service is good.

We arrived at 1:40 p.m. and were well received. The lunch menu was €16.90, and was excellent and had plenty of choice. I definitely recommend it.
