Le Grand Bleu sur L'Ile-Rousse

The setting is magnificent, on a small square and under a huge rubber tree. The menu is tempting, the prices are reasonable and the places are clean. The dishes are excellent (very good chef and brigade) and the service is perfectly executed (friendly, conscientious waiters, no downtime). Address not to be missed if you come to Ile Rousse or its surroundings.

Today we had a delicious bistro menu. We were served kindly and the food was delicious. Started with carpaccio of squid and delicious ham from Corsica. The main course was a delicious stew and rice with fish and as icing on the cake, panna cotta😋 Also a nice place to sit. Recommended!

Already came perhaps 2 years ago and still delighted and satisfied. I always appreciate the smiling and warm welcome. Fresh products and well presented and excellent dishes. Also good advice for pairing my dish with a very good wine. I recommend without hesitation. ......Back this year: I confirm my opinion: to do at least once if you pass through Île Rousse. Welcome as friendly and warm as ever, succulent and hearty dish: Tuesday June 6 Lamb shank and accompaniments 😋 And back again last Saturday: Meat tartare = 1st experience....I loved it 😋 Back in Balagne, girls' evening yesterday Saturday October 30: always excellent from the welcome to the service including the cuisine (very friendly, efficient and highly motivated staff despite the fatigue of the end of the season, very good quality products ) THANK YOU again we had an excellent evening (I had no doubt 😃)

Perdez vous dans les petites rues piétonnes de l île rousse et vous trouverez ce beau restaurant ombragé sous un immense arbre caoutchouc ! La cuisine faîte maison est raffinée, produits de la mer ou de la terre, le plus difficile est de choisir. L accueil est sympathique.

The food was good but unfortunately that was the end of it. Firstly, an atmospheric tree above the tables outside provides shelter for many birds which ends up with poo in the plate or on the guests' heads. The restaurant tries to deal with this problem by shooting the birds sitting there with an air rifle. Secondly, although we ordered a total of two meals and one wine there was a mix-up in the bill anyway - two wines were charged instead of one. In summary although the meal with the bird poo was replaced and the money for the extra wine refunded, the distaste remained.
