Le Grand Hotel sur Chateau-Du-Loir

01/04/2024: We eat there regularly, it’s nice

24/03/2024: A Palm Sunday... family reunions... and here we are, impromptu, forced to go to lunch in town, at Château du Loir. The parking lot seemed welcoming to us on the town hall square, the enticing exterior painting... here we are on an adventure discovering a restaurant not yet known to us. The welcome is smiling, friendly and we even found a table for two. The menu is varied and the plates served on neighboring tables are copious. My guest chooses an XXL 3-cheese galette which will make her meal and her treat. I chose the entrecote (^ on the o) cooked as requested served with a Roquefort sauce of remarkable sweetness and balance of flavors. The dessert menu is varied, as is the wine list. I preferred a bowl of cider to be in unison with my guest. Very pleasant. With desserts and coffee: 47 euros... more than reasonable price for a good time of pleasure. As luck would have it, I will go back.
