Very good, very pleasant place, excellent food

Thank you so much for your prompt service with our special request, as we were short on time. Despite this significant challenge, we were very well received, the service was excellent, and the food was superb. I highly recommend it 😊

Pleasant service and friendly staff. However, we found the prices quite high for the dishes offered. The Alpage platter, in particular, was rather sparsely filled, and the bread wasn't really up to par. Another major disappointment was the Irish Coffee, which wasn't very enjoyable and was served in a completely unsuitable glass. Overall, an acceptable experience, but with a few things to improve considering the prices.

We came to have lunch at Jalouvre in Chinayon for Children's Day. The positive point was clearly the service: a very cheerful, friendly, and attentive waitress, with a truly pleasant welcome. No complaints there. However, we were much more disappointed by the food. Several dishes listed on the menu were unavailable, which significantly limited the choices. And above all, the dishes seemed quite expensive considering what was served. The chicken escalope, for example, looked more like small pieces of chicken than a proper escalope. The cheese presented as Reblochon was also rather difficult to identify as such. And unfortunately, several hours after the meal, it still felt quite heavy in our stomachs. In short, the service was very friendly and efficient, but the food unfortunately did not live up to our expectations, especially considering the prices.

Excellent place, I highly recommend it. Homemade desserts, basil picked on site, friendly service, the food is excellent.

The food is quite basic and the value for money isn't there. I had a burger and fries for €25 which wasn't worth the price, and the reblochon salad with four cheese croquettes was good, but it came with just a salad and half a tomato. The decor is outdated, and I won't even mention the bathrooms, which look like they're 40 years old.
