A very good experience in Limousin. Their specialty is leg of lamb, and it's truly exceptional. The fries are very good, and the desserts are classic brasserie fare. In short, we weren't disappointed.

The menu is concise enough to inspire confidence.
Typical bistro dishes, the lamb is definitely a must-try. The other meat dishes are equally good.
I didn't stray from L'Océan by trying the fish.
We were even offered a second helping of lamb once our plates were empty, so we could eat it while it was still hot.
That's rare enough to be worth mentioning.
The wine list is more traditional, the prices a bit too Versailles-like, but there's something to satisfy everyone.
The tables are really tiny, the price to pay for finding a small seat in this friendly atmosphere.
I admit to going there occasionally during the colder months.
Note: this establishment is part of a restaurant group in western Paris that offers several options not too far from each other. The staff has changed over the years, but the spirit of each restaurant is maintained. Best of luck.

Visiting Versailles from Canada. This restaurant has excellent food and atmosphere. Very cozy and warm on a cold night. Our waiter Louis was exceptional. His friendliness and recommendations were very much appreciated. Ask for him and order the filet steak with peppercorn sauce and potatoes gratin as a side. .You won’t be disappointed. Also try the after dinner cocktail made with Chartreuse Green & Yellow Don’t know the name of the actual cocktail. Regardless again you won’t be disappointed.

A restaurant specializing in gigo. It's very well prepared with several possible side dishes (flageolet beans, gratin, etc.). Friendly and welcoming staff. The restaurant is very busy, so it can be a bit noisy if you want to talk.
Note that it's open late.

A pleasant surprise near the Palace of Versailles. A small restaurant with an old-world feel and exquisite cuisine: salads with pâté or goat's cheese, and a fantastic liver, not to mention the leg of lamb cooked in copper pots... A must-try! Luisa Giannetti

I went to this restaurant for the first time. The establishment seemed well-maintained. However, I must say I was disappointed by the food and its presentation (very basic): reheated, industrial goat cheese on a meager bed of salad... AAAA andouillette sausage, slightly charred, served with fries but with no attempt at presentation. As for the glass of wine (which was perfectly acceptable), the rushed waiter brought it to my table with excess wine still clinging to the base of the glass. Not really what one expects from this type of establishment, and on top of that, the bill was, in my opinion, far too high for what was offered... Perhaps I just went on an off day...
