Delicate and refined cuisine. To regret that one of the dishes arrived cold on the table. The culinary experience is unfortunately spoiled by dirty, scruffy, aggressive and vulgar staff. Let's hope that this service can only be attributed to an atmosphere alcoholic end of sale, which we could tolerate, certainly not from a gourmet restaurant!!! too bad the boss only responds to positive reviews

My husband and I had an excellent time, refined and excellent cuisine, the service was impeccable (special mention to Vianney for his good humor and kindness) we will come back.

A superb discovery in this establishment despite a clearance sale evening. Ultra-high quality dishes (the beef fillet and foie gras ravioli, what a treat), top-notch and attentive servers, fairly reasonable prices given the quality of the food, in short, almost perfect! The only downside to note: A customer arrived in the restaurant and then, after a few minutes, put on her bra at the table. After several minutes, we discussed it with the customers at the nearby tables and we were all surprised that there was no reaction from the establishment. We therefore reported to the boss that we and our table neighbors found this “surprising”. The boss agreed with us but without asking this person to get dressed, that's the only reason that prevents me from giving 5 stars.

Very good restaurant offering regional specialties

I haven't been back to this restaurant for 27 years and it's still good. Special clearance sale menu with good maroilles croquettes as a starter, mussel aioli and beef cheek as a main course (very good) and a delicious apricot/raspberry: nothing to complain about. Friendly and efficient service and cozy setting! I recommend.

Excellent welcome, original and tasty cuisine, very good value for money. We will come back!

First time in Lille and chose this restaurant for our first night dinner. It was exceptional. If we could give it more than 5 stars we would. We opted to eat inside since it was a hot evening. The interior is quaint with a nice ambiance. The restaurant team was attentive, pleasant and had a good sense of humor. We ordered a bottle of wine from a nice selection wine list. The food was exceptional. My husband selected the options from the 3-course menu and was wowed - smoked salmon appetizer, fish entree and Pavlova dessert (light dessert with raspberries). I ordered prawns & octopus appetizer (the octopus was perfectly tender - you know you’re at a good restaurant when the octopus is tender and not rubbery), turbot and Pavlova. Lot of different flavors in each dish that went well together. The portions were generous, and each dish nicely presented. The owner told us that his wife is the chef, and in our opinion she is an amazing one. Thank you team Le Lion for a memorable experience!

Le lieu est très joli avec ses vieilles briques rouges apparentes et ses dizaines de coquillages, poissons et céramiques brillantes et bords dorés surprenants au dessus de la petite cuisine sur une petite étagère. Les tapis au sol, vieille France élimés, avec un certain cachet à la fois. Jolis verres à vin pour la dégustation qui commence par le nez ne l’oublions pas. La viande cuite à souhait (saignante pour moi) les petits légumes, la pomme de terre écrasée et revenue dans un beurre noisette et sel de Guérande et last but not least la gentillesse, la bonne humeur et le rire du serveur. Merci !
