Tucked away behind a wall of vines, this hard to find restaurant located on an unprepossessing industrial estate is well worth seeking out. Perhaps this is why most of the clientele are local. We sat down alongside trades people enjoying a long, languid lunch under shady trees. The meat is cooked to perfection over a wood fire. The faux filet is simply delicious. This was our second visit and we were delighted to return. We enjoyed an excellent two course lunch with drinks for about 55 euros, which we considered to be very good value. Next time, we will make a reservation - just like everyone else who has become a regular here.

Excellent experience at Marquant City! We came as a couple and thoroughly enjoyed the dishes we chose. The subtle braised flavor was a real plus. The service was quick. I highly recommend it!

Excellent restaurant. I ordered duck breast; the meat was cooked over a wood fire, giving it a very pleasant smoky flavor. The homemade fries were delicious and went perfectly with the peppercorn sauce. My only slight complaint was the water, which had a faint taste of limescale. Aside from that, the staff were very friendly. I happily recommend this restaurant.

A perfect experience! We were welcomed with a smile 30 minutes before closing time, and the food was cooked right in front of us! I highly recommend it!!

A wonderful discovery! Flavorful meats grilled over a wood fire, generous portions, and delicious homemade sauces. The service is always warm and welcoming. An excellent restaurant in Angoulême.

A quiet day with few customers and little atmosphere. The quality of the andouillettes and frozen fries was acceptable, but lacking that extra something. The crème brûlée, worthy of a gourmet café dessert, was nothing special. Really nothing to write home about, and the glass of wine (with the rib-eye steak) didn't improve the experience.

16/08/2026: Real home cooking. A burger with real bread, delicious! A tender meat skewer… truly kudos for this simple yet tasty cuisine, at a very reasonable price.
