Le Maufoux sur Beaune

A very pleasant welcome, an exceptional wine list, the back room a little dreary though comfortable, decent food although the €40 set menu seemed a bit excessive for a slice of terrine served with excellent condiments, eggs meurette, and rosemary apricots with crumble and under-whipped Chantilly cream. A pleasant experience nonetheless.

We had a good evening. The wine list is extensive with fair prices. Service was good. Food portion are small yet enough however food quality was decent. This is restaurant is primarily for wines with side foods. Recommend to sit outside and avoid sitting behind the kitchen.

Good restaurant, the food is excellent with a beautiful presentation, the restaurant is small so you might want to plan ahead during busy periods, for our part we did not need to book.

I went in here because all the places I was planning to go were closed, and I was really satisfied!! First of all, the lady is very kind. She keeps refilling the bread as well. I paid 32 euros for the lunch special, and had the escargot and lamb steak, and it was really delicious.

My spending over €100 is influenced by the wine selection. You can easily eat for €50. The wine list is well-structured with options for every budget, and the prices are fair and often lower than average. If you're a wine and food enthusiast, don't hesitate to book!
