Le Medieval sur Saint-Emilion

We stopped for lunch and found a seat outside, sampled a selection of cheeses, and then had roast ham and grilled beef. To finish, we had an almond cake. Everything was delicious. Of course, we also really enjoyed the wine. Service was friendly and fast.

St Emilion 25th October Le Medieval Restaurant We both travelled by train from Bordeaux to St Emilion for a day trip. The town is approximately 20-30 minutes from the station by foot up a gentle gradient, passing vineyards enroute. We wandered around the town, which is beautiful, had a glass of Bordeaux opposite the medieval Church before wandering back down with the intention of grabbing some lunch before heading towards the train station. We sat outside initially as - even for the end of October - the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day but moved inside when a threatening rainstorm delivered on its promise. The food was great as was the service and – as always – the wine was excellent and reasonably priced, given that it is undoubtedly a tourist destination. Probably mobbed in holiday season but this was still had a number of locals dining out.

We had a fantastic time at this restaurant! The food was delicious, and we laughed a lot. Thanks to Fabrice for his excellent service, good humor, and wit. We came for a relaxing meal… and left talking about Snow White and the Five Dwarfs 😂 The atmosphere was amazing and made the meal even better. Thank you for this wonderful experience; we'll definitely be back!

The service was incredibly fast, even though we were in a hurry. It was very busy, but they still managed to serve us quickly. The food was simple but good quality, and the staff were really friendly. If I'm ever back in Saint-Émilion, I'll definitely return and take more time to enjoy it.

A typically French restaurant, with a super playful and pleasant service which is frankly very nice, the dishes were good and the value for money was more than fair for the area.

It's always a pleasure to eat at Le Médiévale. The food is simple and very good. I recommend the steak and fries 🤤

Pleasant restaurant on the edge of St Émilion village. I had lunch here sitting on the pleasant outside terrace. I wanted something light and the salad I chose was excellent - full of fresh ingredients and flavour. A glass of local wine and a coffee rounded things off well.
