A wonderful experience, the staff were lovely and very attentive. You almost forget you're in a tourist area. The coq au vin was delicious.

We had the opportunity to eat at this restaurant. The food and service were excellent! I highly recommend it. You'll find all the traditional dishes of the region. Satisfactory quality/price ratio. Go for it!!

A very good experience in Saint-Émilion. The waiters were very friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The cuisine is homemade and traditional, with local dishes prepared very well. We tried, among other things, the coq au vin and the foie gras, and everything was excellent. Furthermore, the location is fantastic, right in the heart of Saint-Émilion, perfect for stopping and enjoying the local gastronomy while visiting the town. A highly recommended place if you're looking for traditional cuisine, good service, and a great location.

Fantastic place for a snack. We were looked after fantastically by Katherina and the other members of the staff. Welcoming terrace. A must go when you’re in Saint emilion.

A small restaurant at a street corner. It offers a good selection of dishes. The meats, coq au vin or grilled meats, are good. The local wine is well-chosen. The service is pleasant. There was no tap water that day because it was yellow, so you had to order bottled water to stay hydrated; a small gesture of goodwill would have been appreciated, what a shame!

01/08/2026: The terrace is lovely, and the food is excellent and sophisticated. However, I was very disappointed by the waiter (the waitress was very pleasant), who rushed our order, and was disappointed that we didn't order a starter… and that there were only two desserts for four people! In short, we must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed!

06/08/2026: Really nice restaurant with a beautiful terrace!! We came here for dinner and really enjoyed it. The cold lentil soup (suggestion of the day) was super refreshing, and the slow-cooked lamb for two was absolutely delicious - so tender and flavourful. The only small miss was the wine. We asked for a recommendation, but it didn’t match our style. No big deal though—everyone’s taste is different. Would happily come back. Highly recommend!
06/08/2026: Third time visiting L'Envers du Décor, and I have to say I think it's gone downhill a bit. The atmosphere is still the best thing about this place—exactly what you'd expect from a lively French bistro, with plenty of character and a great buzz. Unfortunately, the food really fell short this time. We had the T-bone steak and steak tartare, among other dishes, and I mention the meat because everyone who ate it ended up feeling sick later that night. It was really disappointing given how much we'd enjoyed our previous visits. The service wasn't great either. We had to wait around 10 minutes for our side dishes after our mains had already arrived, and our waitress wasn't particularly friendly or attentive. Overall, it was a disappointing experience compared to our previous visits. I hope this was just an off night, but based on this visit, I'd be hesitant to return
