Le Medieval sur Saint-Emilion

I don't usually leave reviews but this restaurant is worth it. We had two coqs au vin for lunch and it was DELICIOUS! The service was impeccable and the staff was super pleasant and gave us good recommendations on the dishes/wine but also on the dessert because I was terribly undecided. I went back there in the afternoon for a drink, which allowed me to see the waitress from lunch again; she was very pleasant and very sociable. We talked a lot about various subjects. I will return there without any doubt during my next visit to Saint-Émilion. I highly recommend.

Very good site. It is a tourist town and prices are generally high. This was budget friendly and good value for money. Good attention

Restaurant and cafe with a loving and traditional look. I saw families having lunch, when I opted for a chocolate crepe and coffee/espresso. I had been waiting for the family who went to visit Saint-Emilian. Crepe came cold, but I don't think it will always be like that. The family ended up arriving and they also ordered chocolate crepes... some cold, some hot!

The environment is very pleasant. It's actually quite traditional. We made the reservation as soon as we arrived at the villa and the waiter was very helpful. However, during the meal we were served by a very unfriendly waitress. It was a little strange and the service was a little broken

Excellent, unmissable table! Authentic and traditional cuisine with fresh products. Josette welcomed us with her heart, exactly what we appreciate in her cuisine, so rare today. We recommend this table!

Having read the previous reviews before making my reservation, I was very mixed about the emphasis on the rude waitress... then I told myself not to stop at the negative reviews and to try it for myself- even. Result: not disappointed at all, I agree with Volucia, the waitress just doesn't have the same sense of humor as everyone else. We had a great time and even joked with her! Like what... Otherwise, in terms of meals, everything was good, very traditional, decent value for money (a little expensive for lunch on weekends, no formula). On the other hand, we had 2 “main course” salads as starters which we shared with 4. No worries about having empty plates to share. After our digestive stroll in St Emilion, we returned there to quench our thirst before leaving. We were very well received and we were even able to taste, at the restaurant table, our freshly purchased macaroons. We were not able to test the beautiful terrace, given the date of our visit, but we will not fail to stop there during a future summer stroll.

It's a classic brasserie menu with omelettes, croques, salads, and classic dishes: coq au vin, grilled beef, chicken and pepper confit. The dish is good. An effort is made for the presentation, but the presentation did not convince me.

Didn’t serve dinner until 7pm so we just got deserts at 5pm
