LE MEGA sur Venette

A wonderful discovery in Venette! Le Méga is a restaurant that pleasantly surprises. From the moment you step inside, you're immersed in the ambiance of a Savoyard chalet, with plenty of wood, warm decor, and intimate spaces reminiscent of mountain inns. The atmosphere is friendly and truly refreshing, especially considering it's so close to Compiègne. The dining room is very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, with tables equally suited to group meals and quieter dinners. The menu offers generous and delicious French cuisine: beautiful cuts of meat, cheese specialties, regional dishes, and a few perfectly executed classics. You can tell the food is made for pleasure, simple yet satisfying. Special mention goes to the exceptionally friendly and attentive service. It's the kind of place where you quickly feel at ease. A welcoming spot where you can have a wonderful time, and where you'll naturally want to return.

Nice place, friendly staff. I had a Savoyard fondue which was very good, and I recommend this place for fondue and raclette.

I attended the second New Year's Eve party and it was a truly wonderful experience. The atmosphere was fantastic from beginning to end, friendly and festive. The meal was delicious, beautifully presented, and enjoyed by everyone at the table. Special mention goes to the waiter, who was absolutely top-notch: smiling, funny, attentive, and very professional, he greatly contributed to the success of the evening. A well-organized event and a fantastic time—I highly recommend it!

Perfect: the welcome, the decor, and the food. We had a wonderful evening. I highly recommend it.

A very warm welcome. Lovely decor. Two superb homemade punches and two peach-infused white wines as an aperitif, along with the charcuterie/cheese board... absolutely delicious. Savoyard specialties, among others. My friend ordered a Tartiflette... I tried it... not without difficulty... she didn't want it... but I managed. 😇 It was excellent. Our friends ordered a Fondue Bourguignonne, which I also tried... a delight... the meat was deliciously tender and melted in your mouth... it was served just as my friends wanted, with superb baked potatoes. And I had the Normande with Camembert... I won't say any more... 🤫🤫🤫 and for dessert... the homemade chocolate mousse; it was very light and creamy. The owner, who does the cooking, is very deserving. His team is excellent. Keep up the good work. Value for money: nothing to complain about...the dishes are generously portioned. See you very soon...after a good meal!

We arrived at this restaurant; the decor was very rustic and welcoming. We were immediately greeted by Guillaume, who was very friendly. 😎 Drinks arrived quickly, although there were a few mix-ups with our order. Our main courses arrived late, but were quite good, though a bit pricey unfortunately. 🫠 The desserts were well-made, however, there was a huge wait for our order. It's a shame, as it detracts from the overall customer experience! 🥶 Delphine, at the reception, gave us excellent advice, and we thank her for her kindness, as well as Guillaume. 🤗 It's still a pleasant experience if you have some time to spare. I saw that they also host Johnny Hallyday and karaoke nights—something to check out! 🤟
