Le Monchu sur Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

We enjoyed a raclette cooked over a wood fire with charcuterie—a real treat! For dessert, we had chocolate mousse and pavlova, perfect! The restaurant's setting is truly lovely, and the service was excellent! A special thank you to Fanny for her recommendations and the quality of her service. We ordered the wrong coffee, and she exchanged it without any problem. We appreciated this thoughtful gesture and will definitely be back soon to try other dishes on the menu, which look very tempting. It was a pleasure to eat in this very friendly restaurant with its high-quality food. It's not a tourist trap; give it a try if you're ever in Chamonix!

Warm atmosphere, attentive staff. Finally, a seat at a table!

Our usual first stop upon arriving in Chamonix. Reservations are required 2-3 weeks in advance to secure a table on a Saturday evening, and we were greeted by a friendly and attentive staff member who listened to our requests. We were seated at the 7:00 PM service at a table inside in our preferred area (not guaranteed) 👍. Our server was a bit rushed, which caused some confusion between taking our drink and food orders... The dishes were very good and quite generous. The desserts, the profiterole and the crème caramel, were delicious and well-made, but the sponge cake for the Tropézienne was lacking in moistness and orange blossom flavor (it was too lightly moistened). The welcome and the end of the meal were very pleasant thanks to the manager's smile, friendliness, and attentiveness. Based on this experience, we recommend this establishment.

Excellent restaurant in the heart of Chamonix. Lovely interior decor. Very good charcoal raclette served with authentic equipment. You can go there without hesitation.

Had a wonderful experience here last night food, service and ambiance was lovely. However we clearly asked the waiter if we could share one fondue Monchu, what came was far too big for us to eat and we were billed for two.
