Hello, this was my first time here and I received a very warm welcome. I tried the dish of the day, tandoori chicken, which was very good and well served. I recommend it.

We came in hoping for lunch but when we arrived we asked in French (we’re English speaking ) if they speak English- the waitress said no. In French we asked for a table for 2- she suggested coffee- we said yes. I had thought we may have a coffee and also lunch but the coffee came very quickly and we didn’t get the sense that we were really welcome to stay and there were no menus on the table. It was a lovely coffee- we had it and then went for lunch elsewhere. Perhaps next time we may ask straight away for the lunch menu.

As a long-time customer, I can say it's a place where you feel right at home. Everything is pleasant: the music, the menu, and the ambiance. But I have to give a standing ovation for the service. 30/01/2025: The old Lille institution pubstore is a real journey through time, as much for its decor as for the music or the play on words that name the dishes (I love it)!!! The cuisine is tasty, based on fresh, quality products, we had a great time 😋. The only downside was that the waitress was particularly unpleasant and apparently annoyed at serving our group on this weekday evening when the restaurant was almost empty… She gets the bill wrong and angrily asks us: we're going to have to pay the difference!! It’s completely normal, but there are ways to say it, especially when the mistake is on your part… I still recommend the establishment, but the service is part of the service, pay attention 😉
