🌊 What a setting... Magnificent and relaxing! I'd been wanting to try this place for a while!
🍽 A short menu featuring local products (trout from Ruelle), and the trout was excellent. The recipes are simple and effective (but could use a little more creativity to offer something different from what you'd eat at home 😉). The sauces are delicious, though. They also offer a vegetarian option (vegetarian risotto).

Warm and very welcoming. The food was very good (chicken stew). And the hosts were incredibly attentive. The interior of the old mill is charming. I highly recommend it.

Nice restaurant area, very scenic setting by the river and in view of the chateau.
Difficult to find as there is no signage on the main road or in the small lane. The music ambiance is a little old fashioned and could be a little more upbeat!
Food was good with well balanced dishes and nice presentation! A small problem with the wine was handled very professionally and discretely.
We would definitely return!

A beautiful place, lovely decor, and an unusual fireplace. The staff is very welcoming, and they use local products. A wonderful discovery! Dogs are welcome, and a water bowl is provided. From the restrooms, you can see the waterwheel turning 😉. On sunny days, you can have lunch on the terrace by the Charente River.
