The risotto was cold and bland. And there was a lot of sand in the salads. With the main course, one of us also missed her salad. Oddly enough, there were also people hanging around inside and lying on the sofas. Very strange. Otherwise, our server was friendly and the location was beautiful!

🌊 What a setting... Magnificent and relaxing! I'd been wanting to try this place for a while! 🍽 A short menu featuring local products (trout from Ruelle), and the trout was excellent. The recipes are simple and effective (but could use a little more creativity to offer something different from what you'd eat at home 😉). The sauces are delicious, though. They also offer a vegetarian option (vegetarian risotto). 😊 A warm welcome. Don't miss the chance to see the mill's inner workings!

A short break in this unique village, an idyllic setting in this old mill on the banks of the Charente River – perfect for cooling off and spending a pleasant time with family. Excellent cuisine!

15/08/2026: This cellar, located in the former steward's quarters of the castle, holds some treasures, including wines, whiskies, and other spirits. Sébastien will be happy to advise you. You can also enjoy a wide selection of beers and teas on site.
02/08/2026: Lovely and well stocked cave with a very nice caviste, a lovely patio with a great view of the chateau, and a lively afternoon clientele. The bar has a selection available for tasting. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommended for an early afternoon drink.
