Le Muratore sur Evian-Les-Bains

Excellent restaurant and very good value for money. The servers were pleasant, we had a great evening.

A pleasant restaurant in the heart of the city, the menu is varied with local and Lyonnais specialties, as well as fresh fish from the lake. The dishes are very well presented and of high quality. The owner is very friendly, but our waiter was barely polite and not very efficient.

This is one of the better restaurants in the city where you will find the typical French bistrot food plus influence from the nearby lake with various local wild fish suggestions. For instance, this Saturday of May 2026 there was pike on the menu. For my part I chose a grilled calf kidney, served rosé and accompanied by a not so brilliant Pinot Noir. Service is typically French bistrot style which you may interpret as you like....

The welcome and servers were incredibly friendly, and the menu was varied, offering meat, fish, and vegetarian options. I had a remarkable beef fillet, tender as butter, cooked to perfection, with homemade fries. I highly recommend it!

We went for lunch and were seated on the terras. It was sunny, so perfect. The food came incredibly quick, quality was good and it was tasty. Ideal restaurant for a quick bite when you’re visiting Evian.

The restaurant is beautifully divided into distinct areas, which helps to mitigate the still excessive ambient noise. The soundtrack is pointless.

Dear readers, it's a pleasure to be back with you. Today, we dined at Le Muratore restaurant in Évian, where a €40 set menu—starter, main course, and dessert—promised a most enjoyable experience. And we must admit: the dishes lived up to expectations. Flavorful, well-executed food that demonstrated genuine culinary expertise. Alas, a feast isn't judged solely by what is served… but also by how it is served. The welcome proved disappointing, to say the least. For those coming from Lausanne, the comparison is immediate and stark. Where we expected warmth, consideration, and attentive service, we found only a certain aloofness, even negligence. The staff, clearly understaffed, failed to adequately meet the needs of a group of seven diners. Thus, as happens all too often, our table was relegated to the back burner, forgotten for nearly an hour, while smaller tables that arrived after us received priority. What a shame. These missteps marred an otherwise excellent culinary experience. Nothing irreversible, however: with a few adjustments to the welcome and organization, the experience could easily regain the harmony it deserves.

Excellent restaurant, we ate very well and the wines were also excellent.
