Very friendly place and pleasant service however the cuisine lacks refinements. I find it quite expensive considering the dish I ate.

It was a fabulous time that we spent in the Patio restaurant (small restaurant in a small street parallel to Cours Mirabeau), the warm welcome and very professional advice. The decor is original and gives the impression of being in a very cozy village square. The cuisine is delicious and generous (thanks for the doggy bags). We enjoyed chatting with the manager and his partner, who were very kind. I will just repeat one word: GO FOR IT! GO FOR IT! GO FOR IT! we know where we will go to eat next time we are in Aix-en-Provence

Un beau patio provençal climatisé avec une équipe accueillante et très bon service attentionné tout au long du repas: de très bons plats dont le velouté de petits pois et les aiguillettes de cochon. Un bon moment

The staff is very friendly and super nice and the quality of the dishes was excellent, all complemented by the relaxing atmosphere of the internal courtyard. Highly recommended.

Restaurant in a very intimate and above all very cute setting! The staff is really very welcoming, as is the decor of the restaurant which is magnificent. The menu offers a lot of classic dishes but which are very well executed, it's everything you expect from a good restaurant. I highly recommend this address.

Very nice place with original decor, particularly with its patio. Improbable atmosphere just a stone's throw from the Rotonde. Impeccable and professional service. Varied and tasty menu, RAS lunch formula prices at 25 euros. Cleanliness, nothing to complain about

C'est beau et bon dans le patio, et dans l'assiette ! C'est assez gastro dans la présentation (artichauts en entrée) et les rognons étaient très bons ! Dessert un peu convenu cependant (Paris-Brest) mais super accueil et service.

16/08/2024: Interesting menu, very friendly welcome, original cellar setting...but this is a cellar, it's very noisy... And the original menu doesn't taste good...it lacked a lot of flavor...the tuna like the beef had no taste...the saltiness is in the bill.
15/08/2024: Expected more given the stellar reviews and the price point, but the flavours were mostly plain and the portion sizes for the entrée and dessert were a bit too big. If eating as 2, I'd recommend sharing an entrée and dessert. Zucchini fritter - yummy starter, well seasoned House bread - Quite sad, not soft, not textured, little flavour. Felt like grocery store bread Foie gras crème brûlée (entrée) - honestly big enough for two. Flavour was nice, though it got a bit boring after a while. Also served with too few toasts for its size. Dos de cabillaud (plat) - cod was nice and delicate but overall the dish had too simple of a flavour. Also not very visually appealing as everything is just buried in sauce Sphère chocolat lactée, ananas, noix de coco et citron (dessert) - house special dessert that day. Probably my favourite course, lots of interesting complementary flavours. But again, so much food, could've been split between two people (the ball is filled entirely with the citron cream)

11/12/2024: Great food, staff and atmosphere.
10/12/2024: On a weekend in Aix, we decide to look for a pizzeria in the old town for lunch. At Jo's it's crowded but the owner suggests that we come back in a moment, which we do and our table is waiting for us. The room is small and it is not easy to sit and move around as the tables are so crowded. Before talking about the cuisine I would like to compliment the owners and the waiters: friendliness, smile, responsiveness, availability... Concerning the cuisine I will be less tender but I must point out that we live less than 45 minutes from the Ligurian coast and are used to eating Italian among Italians....at Jo's, no pizza with a blown edge like at Naples or very large pizzas with crunchy dough like in Rome. Pizza the diameter of the plate, any dough neither soft nor crispy, no mozzarella but a cheese with an aggressive taste like Comté or industrial made especially for pizza makers. As for the price, staggering! In Ventimiglia, the equivalent of what I ate (cheese pizza commonly called Marguerite or Neapolitan) is charged 7.50 or 8.00 euros. I paid 17.00 euros!!!! Given the good reception at Jo, this establishment deserves to stand out from the competition on site. Exit the bad industrial cheese and a short day of training for the pizza maker to make and cook a delicious, soft and at the same time crispy dough like our transalpine friends...
