Excellent beef bourguignon served by an owner with a wicked sense of humor! Basically, an old-fashioned atmosphere just the way we like it!!

Local specialties in a pleasant setting; the dining room is small but nicely decorated. The welcome was friendly and the service was pleasant. We were even able to be served in the back room despite it being full. The dishes were good and well-presented. The cooking could have been more refined, but given the crowds and our late arrival, it's forgivable.

It's worth getting to know Christophe and having a chat, it seems like he's known you for years, he sits down and at the end drinks a glass with you, my stew is very spicy, aromatic and tasty, shared a cheese board and an apple pie, with lots of apples (very good) you spend 35 euros each with a bottle of Pinot Rosé'

Very happy with this restaurant. The owner is very friendly and the food is reasonably priced. The menu is not extensive but we were happy with the choice and quality.

Dishes were pretty delicious. We loved poached egg as starter. Portions were quite big which is nice if you are really hungry ;). The only negative side that they didn’t have a waiters/waitress so owner himself was trying to do everything so we waited a bit more than expected. But I guess it is only a temporary situation.

The chef is more than a chef, he is a host, an entertainer, a true ambassador of Dijon. Each dish is prepared meticulously, and don't get me started on his famous, homemade digestive drink that flows as freely as the laughs in this atmosphere... The most memorable experience I have ever had at a restaurant in France, hands down!

12/06/2026: The drinks menu is particularly extensive, with a selection rarely found elsewhere. The food is equally excellent: when you go, you'll eat very well! The atmosphere is also great, and you're always warmly welcomed! I highly recommend it!
06/06/2026: The beer is good and so is the service. I recommend L'Embuscade if you like cider and sweet drinks.
