Le Petit Jardin sur Montpellier

Nestled among trees and shrubs in a wonderfully peaceful location, with a view of St. Pierre. The cuisine is first-class! Very friendly staff.

This is our second visit; the first time was three or four years ago. The place is simply magnificent. We didn't have any particular memories of the food, and for good reason: it's just average. We had the lobster ravioli, which was good. However, we forgot the name of the other starter—something like squash or carrot—it was a 2/5. Then we had the Black Angus beef, which was very good, but the Wagyu beef (€59), the most expensive dish on the menu, arrived cold. After reheating it (not ideal…), the Black Angus remained a more interesting dish in terms of taste and texture. The desserts were average overall. I had asked if they had anything chocolate, and they said the chef would prepare a chocolate dessert for me. The dessert arrived with a scoop of chocolate-colored ice cream on the side and a very pretty cake. I took a spoonful of ice cream, and it was coffee. I hate coffee. And no one told me when serving dessert that it was coffee. In short, the place remains magical, but the food isn't particularly memorable.

The food is divine, but bring a sleeping bag! Tip: If you plan to dine here, a word of advice: have a very hearty breakfast that morning. The food: Honestly, it's flawless. The flavors are subtle, the ingredients are fresh... It's art on a plate. The service: This is where the adventure begins. We discovered a new concept of time. The amuse-bouche arrived after an hour's wait. At that point, it wasn't an "amuse-bouche" anymore, it was a survival kit. I even thought for a moment that the chef had gone to grow the vegetables himself in the garden out back. This is the perfect place to: Fall in love (you'll have time to chat). Write a novel between the appetizer and the main course. Test your patience to become a Buddhist monk. In short, the food is divine, but bring a flashlight and pajamas if you hope to see dessert before dawn.

A very good restaurant offering surprising and delicious seasonal dishes! The staff was very friendly. We waited an hour for our first course, but everything else moved quickly after that, and luckily we were there for the weekend. The place is pleasant and has a timeless feel; I recommend it for special occasions!

The place looks really nice, especially the garden, with a calm and slightly romantic vibe. The food is well presented and feels a bit fancy.

The place is very pretty, but the service is extremely slow and the dishes are really overpriced 😳 Two glasses of champagne and one main course each; €100 with tiny portions, what a shame, a bit disappointed!!!

Excellent place, very nice location, ask for table with the view to the Cathedral. Food is great. Selection of wine is exceptional : local great wines. Service can be always improved, but people are nice and genuinely trying to make your experience. Merci!

I recently arrived in Montpellier. Friends suggested I come to Le Petit Jardin. And it was a wonderful discovery! The dining room and the food were excellent, and everyone was incredibly attentive. We had a fantastic time. Thank you for the experience!

We were very disappointed with our visit… The exterior setting is lovely, but the atmosphere was gloomy and unwelcoming, the food was disappointing and tasteless. The waiters had stained trousers and cat hair on their polo shirts… Not great for a restaurant that aims to be upscale.
