Small friendly restaurant, typical, very well mastered local cuisine.

A must-see place in Alsace! A Strasbourg institution since the 16th century, Le Pigeon has been run by the same family for 3 generations. Dad is in the kitchen and his daughter is in the service. Traditional and charming winstub decor. Delicious traditional Alsace cuisine: almost everything is homemade. I recommend the liver dumplings.

Very good restaurant! It’s nice to discover a typical Alsatian restaurant, the spaetzle 😋, the meat, and the bread very good, the staff very welcoming and pleasant! And a decor from yesteryear that hasn't changed but it adds to the charm of the establishment and we know that we are going to eat really well just by seeing the setting which makes us think back to the good cooking of our elders!

Very tasty dishes, especially the sauerkraut is highly recommended! Plus a rustic ambience and courteous (also multilingual) service :) Gladly again!

I share my astonishment that the restaurant was sparsely attended when I visited. A very well-kept, carefully furnished restaurant with a friendly welcome. The tart on ognions was unfortunately a bit very “bien bronzé”, but tasted good. The snails were average, but the choucrute alsacienne was really “at least good”. I take a stand for the wine on offer; a concise menu with good wines at comparatively reasonable prices. In my case, a very solid Sylvaner from Daniel Ruff (''2022, ore bottling) accompanies me this dinner. In short: a restaurant “un peu apart”, but if you want good Alsatian cuisine in a very pleasant setting, the Pigeon” is in good hands.

Une très jolie découverte. Le cadre est très jolie et l’accueil très sympathique. On a très bien déjeuner. Poulet - baechoff et desserts tout était parfait ! Je recommande les profiteroles c’est mon côté gourmand 😘

Accueil et service parfait. Merci. Le baeckeoffe est délicieux. Le cadre est délicieusement alsacien et pas du tout « vieillot » comme un précédent commentaire (cette personne devrait continuer à manger chez MacDo).
